FH and I havent really taken a VACATION together in forever, we've gone to the Pocanos, DC etc but we want a REAL vacation, cruise or Island.
So since we are on a tight budget with the wedding and all, we were thinking a Carnival cruise to the Bahamas. Has anyone done this? We are considering other possibilities - All inclusive Cozumel, maybe Cancun etc.
Where have you gone ladies? Where can we find the best prices? I have two free plane tickets through work so the airfare isnt a problem, its the best location for the best $$ that we are concerned about...
THANKS!

actually i just checked the prices and they are less than last year, when we went it was the ships 3rd time out so maybe thats why bc their basic rooms started at $1600 then balcony and up was $2,100 and up but i looked now and its less
these are the prices:
interior= 999.00 pp oceanview= 1,198.00 pp balcony =1,499.00 pp mini suite =1,799.00 pp suite=3,099
they have great excursions, it is: Puerto Rico, turks & caicos, Bermuda, St. Thomas and its 9 days
the ship is gorgeous and like i said it is a new ship, its first excursion was in june of last year
here i'lll give you a link to the ship so you can check it out if you want
those are great prices for princess, loved that line

well i went on the crown princess cruise and LOVED IT!!! it leaves from brooklyn, NY but it can be a bit pricey
how about DR, they have great prices for all inclusive hotels there
Ya I second the DR- they are supposed to have great prices. As do some AI's in Jamaica and Mexico.

wow! so much info haha
we have the airfare taken care of so we can leave from anywhere really ... i have 2 free roundtrip tickets from my job
how much do the excursions run? we can book a Carnival Sensations Bahamas cruise for about 500 pp. The cruise is only 4 nights though ..
ugh sooo many different ones to think about
OH i should also add that it is a little bit more pricey bc we are booking for New Years Dec 30-Jan 4ish

well the excursions(each island) you don't get charged extra for, but if you want to do activities there such as snorkeling, tours or whatever you pay for that and you book all of that a month ahead of time bc they get booked up. Depending on what you do there though, most excursions were between $30-95 and then a few were a little more like between $100-300 and then whatever shopping you do there or if you decide to eat while you're there

oh then i would really start looking and also consider not doing a cruise, the reason why is bc cruises you can't just pick whatever date, for example just the one i sent you, either you are back by dec 29 or another one doesn't leave until January 12th, you dont have that flexibility.
