Cruise Lines

So after changing our mind 100 times about our honeymoon i think maybe we decided on a cruise. But now I am trying to decide what cruise line, we have been on Royal Caribbean which was ok & my parents went on Norwegian which they said was great. Does anyone have any suggestions on which cruise line we should look into? I really want to figure this out and get it booked so any advice would help. TIA!!!

We took a cruise on Celebrity and it was amazing. It does cater to an older crowd, so we are def the youngest people on the boat not with their parents. haha. But it was fine for us - unbelievable service and food.

We had a great time.

Sorry to crash but, I really enjoyed Carnival.
I am 24 and they have a much younger crowd although I did hear that there is better food on other cruise lines but, I loved the food.

I've heard Carnival is good for a younger crowd... I wouldn't use them for a honeymoon.

I have heard good things about Norwegian.

We just came back from a Carnival Imagination and it was much better then the cruise we took on Royal Carribean but I have heard that Norweign is great too. Where are you going?

Celebrity is supposedly great and Holland America

I lost weight when I went on Carnival because the food was so gross and I hardly ate. But I'm kinda picky and thats just an opinion. There was also about A MILLION little kids.
I would say either Royal Carribean or Princess. They tend to be a little more upscale all around.

We went to:
Grand Caymen (beautiful)
Cozumel (fun)
Jamaica (do Dunns River Falls or don't go)
Key West

Celebrity and princess are supposed to be the best ones. Fh went on Celebrity in 05 with his family and he liked it alot, we went on crown princess last summer and we LOVED it. He said Celebrity was great but he liked princess more, the food and service were better, plus the crown princess was a brand new ship when we went, it was only its 3rd time out

i have been on several cruises
2 Royal caribbean - excellent
3 carnival AWESOME!!
1 Norwegian - NEVER AGAIN

Re: Cruise Lines

it also depends on what ship
on the 3 carnival ships i was on, 2x the food was EXCELLENT and 1 time is was good
on norwegian, the food was HORRIBLE and worse than the food was the service

VERY TRUE!!! thats why when i always recommend princess i always say crown princess bc one thats the ship i went on, its different than their other ships. Same with RC i never went on one but they have many ships so its good to also find out which ship ppl went on.

BTW to the OP the excursions for the Crown princess are: Puerto Rico, Turks & Caicos, Bermuda, St. Thomas

Celebrity is definitely a higher end cruiseline but again it does cater to an older crowd. I really did enjoy my RC cruise definitely a lot more than Carnival. I don't know about any others, sorry

Me too! The only half-way decent dinner was at the sit-down dinner at night. The buffet stuff and 24 hour stuff was horrific! I agree with the kids..I thought Romper Room let their class out and free on the boat! lol I did a Royal Caribbean the following year and OMG it was like going from poor to rich in a year! lol

Re: Cruise Lines

We have been on Several...

June 05 - Celebrity Zenith to Bermuda...AMAZING food and Service!!!! Bermuda is also a MUST go to place before you die!!!! Seriously Beautiful!!!

November 05 - Royal Carib - Mariner of the Seas - Eastern Caribbean - Great food and Service. Eastern Carib. was great...but nothing compares to Bermuda.

December 06 - Royal Carib. - Freedom of the Seas - Western Caribbean - I unfortunately don't have a great review because we were on the sailing where everyone got the Noro Virus...so...it was a big fat waste of money...the Good news...we didn't get sick and they gave us a credit toward a future cruise...so....

September 07 - Royal Carib. - Mariner of the Seas AGAIN! (coming soon) - Eastern Caribbean again...Great ship...AWESOME Captain...he was hilarious!

April 08 - Norwegian - Pride of Aloha - Hawaii - HONEYMOON....YAY...JUST BOOKED YESTERDAY! Review coming soon!

My sister is very High maintance and ONLY sails Holland America...so...they must be good...

Good Luck!

Re: Cruise Lines

i have been on celebrity several times and its definately high end and older crowd because most older people have money.

if you wanted to do a smaller yacht like experience i hear seaborn is amazing, 24 champagne and caviar and the chef is charlie palmer. he created all the food for the line.
Everything about seaborn is private and luxurious, also try Regent. smaller ships, more exotic locations.

FYI: the smaller the ships the more exotic less populated hte destinations. big ships cant dock where these yachts can
