Crystal Strands Hanging from Centerpiece

I'm not able to post a picture yet. But I decided to go with just roses on a gold/crystal pedestal with strands of crystals hanging from them. I'm at least getting 3, but think I would rather have 5 or even 7 strands hanging. I know it's kind of hard to get an idea w/o a picture, but I'm hoping I described it OK.

So should I get 3, 5, or 7?
