A fellow Cuban here...my dad is also from there. We still have family there as well.
Interesting to read this thread...Thanks!
Do you have any thoughts on this? Any info?
Unfortunately, no sorry..I dont know much. I knew yes, At one point that you were able to go to Cuba, through Canada. Someone like me could go, because I am a US Citizen but not my dad. I guess all that has changed. I did watch a documentary on it once and saw how people live, the very small income they received each month, NO trade with us, the old classic cars, and the area that tourists stayed within. I would LOVE to be able to visit there one day.
you may still be able to go through canada, because you can go through mexico or through nassau right now. it's just not legal to do it. kinda like everything else - you can buy coke if you know the ways to get it, but it's not legal. i think that's where all the confusion is.

Re: Cuba?
dual citizenship comes in REAL handy...i have an american passport and also european, the thing is in alot of places in europe you get charged more at hotels when you show an american passport...So my family and I knew never to use american passports, only at the airport lol, so when we stayed at hotels we always got it for less money so im hoping for that to come in handy for our honeymoon.
As far as cuba, i know someone who is cuban and I remember when his family went to visit after god knows how many years, i think it was 16 or 17 years, but since then they went like 2 or 3x...sorry i wish i had info about how they traveled to cuba but i dont. But they have family there so im sure thats where they stayed
