I contacted cup-a-cake about ordering 110+ containers for my cupcake favors and they quoted me at
$2 per container
is this too much money? Or even worth it? I could do boxes, which would be less than 1/2 the cost of the cupacake. does it make it less 'elegant' or does it make the favor more 'cool'? i would order the clear color.
what do you think?
ps. the reason i like the cup-a-cake is that you dont have to worry about squishing the cupcake. and it takes up less space

Really cute but expensive - perhaps you can use a little box that would only cost .25 - .50

Re: Cupcake Favor wrapping--is this too much money?
how many cupcakes are you ordering for favors?
you definitely can get it for less than $2 each though, so might not really be worth it.
trust me that if you get a small box that is just perfect for a cupcake and put pastry paper over it, it will be fine...Think about when you get cupcakes from a bakery, they come in the small boxes, yes sometimes a little bit of icing gets on the box but its no big deal, that happens sometimes when you get it from a bakery...also depending on how the icing is on the cupcake the icing might not get on the box.

no, infact i was going to ask if they can put it in individual boxes but i know with 200 cupcakes they'd probably want to kill me hahahaha...plus i ended up buying pink and brown boxes to match my theme so wanted to use that...they put about 40 in a big box, so i had a couple of big boxes and then came home to put each one in a box and tie the ribbon around it...i did ask them if they can give me ALOT of pastry paper, and they gave me about 500 sheets lol

see i'm worried about having to wrap these cupcakes the day before my wedding. i figured throwing them in this container would be easier. but more expensive.

it can be a bit of a pain...i had people come over to help me so wasnt that bad. It went by alot quicker with having others help...are you wrapping ribbon around it? i would say that took longest bc we didnt do it in a bow and we had to take time to make sure the ribbon went around perfectly. If you have no ribbon it will go by alot easier.... also if boxes arent made already when you buy it, then put the boxes together a few days before and then the day before you can just put them in the box and do it quickly...definitely ask for people to help you too.

we were planning on doing ribbons tied into a bow at the top, but it might be too much work, maybe i'll just order stickers!

I know William Sonoma sells them 3 for $10.50 (so $3.50 each).
So $2 isn't too bad. If you don't mind spending the money for them I say go for it. I think they would look really cute all set up on a table for people to take while they leave.
