Curious: e-ring from costco? ...

FH didn't get my ring from Costco but I wouldn't mind at all if he did, as long as it was good color/clarity/etc - which I'm assuming some of their stock would be. Walmart on the other hand, seems to have beyond awful quality and their rings arent really my taste.

I helped FH learn a lot about diamonds because I didn't want him to get ripped off, and I wanted him to know how to tell if something is good quality (and where to get better prices). Now he knows all about the 4 Cs, which are more important (to me at least) and he made sure to get a GIA cert.



Edit: On second thought, I just looked at Costco and probably not. None of their stones are GIA certed -- only IGI, which is less reputable. A G color (IGI) is probably more like an H or I color (GIA). They also don't have that much selection.

THIS RING is near identical to my own w/ respect to the 4 Cs (ignoring the fact that this is IGI certed) and we got a much better price. Yay! That makes me feel really good

I just looked at the Costco page as well. Wow. What a rip off. Mine is an estate piece and we didn't pay nearly as much.

It's a round diamond, but the setting makes it look square.

OOh I have a similar setting. You NEVER really see the round diamond that looks square--the only other person I know who has that is my Grandmother!

It's an estate piece. I have no idea who owned it before me, but its from the 1920s.
