Curious - where was your first date? (with poll)

I'm curious as to where FH/DH took you on your first date

I feel like most people usually go to a movie, which I find odd considering that you can't really talk or get to know a person in that kind of setting. But maybe it's a more comfortable environment for an already nervous 'couple'. lol.

What did you do?

For me it was out to dinner. He took me to a nice Italian Restaurant and then we walked around town a bit (the movie was our 2nd or 3rd date)

We were 'seeing' eachother for 2 weeks before we had our first official date. For our first date we went ice skating in central park and went to go see the Christmas tree at Rock Center. It was during ice skating and one of the many times i fell down, that FH said he fell in love with me. So 2 years later he took me to that spot to propose.. NOW only 12 days until the big day!

We went to the movies and out to eat. We went to see Underworld and then Applebee's. It was so cute.

We went to Mardi Gras in Forest Hills, then we went to LIC to see the city skyline...then we went to a cafe/lounge in Astoria for drinks (kinda got tipsy)...then made out in the car lol

which cafe did you go to? just curious bc our first date was also at a cafe/lounge in astoria.

BTW LOOOVE Mardi Gras

On 30th Ave, the one down the block from grand cafe has the yellow lighting...i forgot the name lol...omg gardi gras is sooo yummy...im so craving it now!

Oh ok i know exactly which one youre talking about. In the winter they still have outdoor seating but have the heating lamps outside, i think thats the one.

We were supposed to go to the Milk and Suar Pub in Bay Shore... got there and the place was closed. So we wound up hanging out at some little diner. If that's not an LI love story, I don't know what is... lol.
