Re: Curves

I have been a member since July. I think it's really a great way to exercise and have lost a dress size. Inches have also come off.

I am more motivated to go than the gym. It's 39 dollars a month, which is expensive, but it works. You should at least just check it out. What do you have to lose?

Re: Curves

do a search on the Slim DOwn Board

I was a member but stopped going because although it toned me, I felt like I got too 'bulky' and I wanted to lose more weight - so I am going back to WW. But if you just need to tone - it's great.

Re: Curves

I have been a member since winter of last year and I love it. I pay $39 a month which I think is cheap. I used to belong to Bally's which was much more expensive. I like because I like to go in, do the circuit and then get out. It's quick and easy. I have combined that with Weight Watchers and have lost 30 pounds so far. 5 more pounds to go. I definetly recommend!! Good luck.

I go right from work so the hours work well for me.

I love it. I have two kids so finding time to exercise is next to none. I joined two months ago and have lost alot so far. I hurt my ankle a few weeks ago so haven't been able to go. But I definately see a change in me...So does the hubby

Re: Curves

hi i have been a member since last year and it has really changed my shape - the 39.00 is kind of expensive but it is easy to do and the hours are really good at my location they are open late on tuesdays and thursdays and open on saturdays too .
i have heard the hours vary depending on location since it is a franchise they all make their own hours
i like it and the other gals in my location are really fun - i go as much for the conversation as the workout

Re: Curves

there are positives and negatives about it. the positives is that it goes really fast- you are done with your workout in a little over 30 minutes. And the machines work every part oftthe body. It is $39 a month which is less than I was paying at NYSC which I was paying $70 a month. the downside is that it does have crappy hours inmany locations and like all othe rgyms it gets boring after awhile. My friend gave it to me as my birthday gift so I can try it oiut and lose some inches before the wedding. YOu have to try it for yourself.

Re: Curves

I belong to lucille roberts. Curves is not exactly a gym it has a circuit of machines. You go and u do like a min on each one and u go around when ur done that's it. I thought about it but then I was told that 1. it costs more,2. there isn't an instructor who is going to be there to show u exactly if u are doing the exercise correctly.3. I just figure that if ur going to pay 39 a month u should have the option if u just want to do a circuit or if u want to go to a class. I paid lucille for almost a year without going. If u could pair up with someone it makes it easier for u to go . That's what I do. I go every friday to the step class with my girlfriend and if I can i go during the week.
