Customer Service is Dead!!! Ugh!

I am so frustrated with everything connected to the wedding industry! Why is it that as soon as you've put your money down these vendors act like they are doing you a favor just by doing their job?!!? I feel so ripped off!

My fiance just went to pick up our invitations & they are wrong! Unfortunately, my fiance didn't notice & paid for them! The information is correct, but the style is wrong. To make matters worse, they were late coming in (because the store didn't order them for almost 2 weeks), so now I don't think we have time to re-order. The store is completely unapologetic & refuses to do anything to compensate us -- arging that the invitation we got is actually more expensive than the one we paid for...but its not the one were ordered! I'm so iritated & I think my only recourse is to write to teh BBB & b&*ch on the knot.

demand to s/w the supervisor. How did you pay, cash, cc or check. stop payment or call the cc company.
call the store and ask for something and tell them that business is based on reputation and theirs is going down the drain and you will be sure to let people know how unfriendly and unaccomodating they are.

I agree speak with a supervisor. If know one will help you make sure you inform them that you will be speaking to the BBB and other brides and warning them!

Is the style terrible? I know it's not what you want but can you send them so they aren't late?

Also, Renaissance Writings at www.renaissancewritings.com turned my invites around in a week. And the service was excellent. I've used them for menus etc. too.

Don't worry girls, this store is in Chicago, where I live.

Its a small store & we have actually been working with the owner. We found them to be so nice & helpful...before we gave them our money!

We did have proofs, but it was only a shape with the language, we couldn't tell that they were the wrong style.

They are actually pretty, its just that its not what we wanted & they are being completely unaccommodating. Its really the principal at this point. I can't believe how unprofessional come vendors are. What ever happen to teh customer is always right?
