I am planning to wear my sister's dress. She got married four years ago and the dress was purchased by my grandmother for a few thousand dollars. My grandmother passed away and I wanted to wear it because I know she would have bought me my dress. It is absolutley gorgeous and rich satin- it is plain with a princess style skirt and strapless. I am wondering if anybody knows any places that will alter and possibly reconstruct the top. Any help would be appreciated!

Not sure if you want to go all the way to Queens, but there is a seamstress in Whitestone who is amazing, and a lot less expensive than the bridal stores. FM me if you want her contact info.
