Dad has passed away. My 3/27 wedding is being postponed. Feeling very down.

My father's cancer spread the last week of February and he passed away on March 11. I can't even express what I am going through right now. He was supposed to walk me down the aisle on Saturday. I feel broken. I'm not even sure why I'm writing this, but somehow I feel that I needed to tell you all since you've been so kind to me.

We are trying to pick up the pieces. My FH has taken control of everything for the wedding. He has rescheduled it to August 1st for us. Our vendors have been so wonderful. They applied all deposits to our new wedding date. I'm scared for that day though...how will I ever get down the aisle without my dad?

Hope all of the other 3/27 brides have a beautiful day. I'll be thinking of you.

Oh my God.. there are no amount of words to convey the amount of saddness I feel as I read your post ..

I clearly remember you mentioned your father's illness a while back and we chatted on FM for awhile about the tough time you were having. You were very strong and positive , and I know you will continue to be during this difficult time. I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am and I know there is nothing I can say right now to make the pain go away. I hope you know that you can FM me ANYTIME

I so sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you and you will hurt at first, but you will find a way to move on and honor him even in his absence.

Oh my god, I am so sorry... I can't even imagine the pain... I would be torn to peices... stay strong and take comfort in your family and FH... take care.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I don't think any amount of words can lessen your pain right now. It's good to hear that your vendors are working with you, and as you can see by the number of posts you have here, you're definitely not alone. I'm here if you need me. I lost my dad a while ago, but you always feel it at times like this. He will be with you on your special day steph. Know it hon. Know it. He wouldnt miss it.

I am so sorry. I know there is nothing to say to ease your pain. My dad passed away one year ago this Thursday. I just got married 2 weeks ago. He passed a month after I got engaged. It truly is a diffifult time, but have hope in that he knows you are getting married, knows your FH and gave his blessing. It got me through it. I knew he was there in spirit. It's not the same as him being there, but it helps. If you want to talk more, FM me.
