So the great news is I FOUND MY DRESS!!! I went to bridal reflections yesterday, tried on like 20 dresses and then I found THE ONE. I'm in love with it!! Anyway, here is my question: I'm bringing my future mother in law back to BR this weekend so that she can see it and my dad asked me if he could come along. I though that this was so sweet, but I don't know if dads usually see their daughter's wedding dress before the wedding? I know that the groom isnt supposed to see it but is there any rule for a dad? Has anyone ever brought their dad to the bridal salon to see them in their dress?

Aww- that's sweet that he wants to dee it. I don't think the same rule applies to Dads as FH.....although I'm breaking the FH rule to take pics anyway- haha

My dad went with me when I tried on dresses so he could take pictures of my 2 finalists for my grandmother, who couldn't come, so that she could help me pick. He spent quite a bit of time with a bunch of squealing women in a bridal shop. A good man, that one!

My dad saw my dress and paid the bill. If I were not letting him see it before the wedding, I would not have felt right taking the money. Then again, if I were paying, I still would have shown him. I wanted him to like it. I tried to trick him by showing him the dress, going back into the fitting room and then coming out again in a different dress. I wanted to see if I was just saying he liked it but not looking. Well, he noticed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried to show my dad my dress..but he was the one who said he did not want to see it until the day of the wedding...I tried to show him pictures of me in it that I took and he got all teary eyed and said he wnated to wait until the wedding..!
Awwwwww!!!!!!!!!!! That is SOOO SWEET!!! what a great dad!! I'd definitely bring him along! My dad didn't go shopping with me, but I showed him pictures of my dress online, and of me in it. As long as your FH doesn't see it, it's all good!

AWWWWWW SO CUTE!!!!!! I would definitely bring my Dad with me if he wanted to come and see my dress!!!! There is no rule that the Dad can't see you in your dress before the wedding!!!!!

I did not want my dad to see mine. I wanted him to see me in it on the day of. Tho he ruined the whole thing b/c he just walked into my apartment but it was ok

I brought my dad when we placed the order. He was excited, but I made sure he wasn't by the dressing rooms so other girls didn't feel uncomfortable with a man there.

I say bring your Dad!!!!! If he is asking he's interested in seeing it, when I ask mine to go to bridal shows he is like ehhhh. I would say most positvely (sp?), absolutely yes!

Just my two cents but the last time I saw my father was when I was home for Easter (April 8). I showed him a magazine cutout of the Jasmine gown I wanted. His eyes welled up and he couldn't even speak. My dad passed away suddenly April 25th....I know he loved my gown and he would want me to wear it. It's worth letting him see, as god forbid, we never know what the future holds...

My dad saw my dress when I ordered it. He cried, it was so cute. Even if they see the dress, they are men and won't remember and he won't see the whole picture until the wedding day. I think it is sweet that your dad is so interested.

Awwwww how seet. My dad doesn't even know when the wedding is....he asked me a few days ago!
