Does anyone have experience with dance classes in the city? We are getting married on LI, but live in Manhattan. I would like to find a place that will help us choreograph our first dance and isn't crazy expensive...Thanks!

We are taking lessons at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio East Side (328 E 61st St, 5th Fl ) So far so good...it was def $$ like $750 for 7 lessons and 3 practice sessions but so far it looks like its paying off. Here’s the info 212- 209-2410. They are choreographing a dance for us, something simple though since we are very very beginner levels.

Is this for both of you? Is it a large group or private sessions? What do you mean 3 practice sessions? Just curious. FH and I want to do this too... TIA

I also live in NYC and am interested in dancing class! One LIW girl recommended this place: Wedding Day Dance...

For 11 Private Lessons $670 (I am assuming this is for couple price) and first dance class is free.
Its sounds really good and they have three locations in NYC. I haven't tried yet... but if you do, pls let us know how it is!
