Hi..we are getting married at Danfords in Port Jeff on Oct 4 2003. I was wondering if anyone has been to a wedding or had their wedding there?? How was it? Any comments would be soo helpful. Also, they have 2 preferred DJ's one is Get in Tune and I can't remember the other but was wondering if anyone had input on that as well!

Re: Danfords
We just had our wedding there on 10/5! We loved it there. They were so nice to work with and they really did a wonderful job on the day of our wedding, they were so helpful. We were very happy with our decision.
We used Spin Around Sound as our DJ and they did a wonderful job as well.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Re: Danfords
Congrats! They seemed really nice and gave us a great deal! How did you decorate the dance floor area? Or do you think not much was needed? I don't know what they supply for that. Did you have you cocktail hour outside? How did that workout? Thanks sooo much

Re: Danfords
Applesfla - how many people did you have at your reception, and did they fit in there comfortably? I heard Danford's was kind of small. How big was the dance floor too? And did you have your reception at night or during the day?
Thanks!

Re: Danfords
We didn't really think it was necessary to decorate the dance floor area but we did do some tulle up the stairs. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and we were able to have our cocktail hour outside! I loved it, it worked out great. Plus we ran down the docks to get some more sunset pictures just after we got there.
We had about 130 people. The only thing I didn't like is that we did have to put one table in the atrium room because it would have been too squished if we put it in the main room. We put DH's college friends in there, they were a roudy croud so they really didn't seem to mind in fact I think they liked that they could sneek around to the other side of the bar. They decided to name themselves the hood rat crew. So we made sure to make frequent visits to the 'hood'. The dance floor was plenty big and we had quite a crew of dancing fools. We had a Sat. evening reception from 6-11, but they left the bar open until almost 12 for us. Then most people made there way downstairs or into town. We decided to call it a night at that point.
