Danielle's Dog - Buddy Died Yesterday 8-11-04

When I got home yesteday from work, Danielle told me that Buddy...The 8 year old black and Grey Yorkie died. He was the best dog anyone could own. He was the most loveable lap dog ever....He was like my best friend....I never had a dog to get so attached too....and I did really get attached to this dog. I miss him so much.

Yesterday morning, Danielles parents came downstairs because the older dog, Benji was barking a lot....So they went to the cage and found buddy on his side breathing heavy...and gasping...They took him to the emergency room for animals but it was too late. He died on the way....I never got a chance to say goodbye to him...I cannot believe he is gone. I so wanted to take a few pictures at the house with him on saturday....and now I cannot. He loved me....Everytime I came in the house he would spin around....and juump on my lap and just want to be with me and play....He was the same way with Danielle. It was her dog....I am so sad.

I'm so sorry to hear that. We just put our collie to rest after 13 great years with her. It hurts!

Scott - I am so very sorry . Just reading what you wrote about Buddy brought tears to my eyes One can feel just how much you loved Buddy by how you described the happiness and joy he brought into yours and Danielle's lives.

Our pets are our family, and I am SO very sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you and Danielle during this difficult time Buddy will be looking down on you and Danielle on your wedding in a few days and his spirit will bring you much happiness and peace

So sorry to hear this. It was so sweet that the other dog was barking though. It was like a doggie 911 call. Maybe they really understand more than we know.

I'm sorry this happened so close to your wedding.

I think they totally understand everything. Yesterday Benji was acting so different. He is usually barking alot for food, or that he wants to go out or just cause he wants attention. Yesterday he was sleeping behind the tv all day and then last night he came out and I pet him for a little while and then he went back behind the tv....not a bark out of him. I know he knows something happened....I just wish he could talk.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My dog was just (yesterday) diagnosed with Cancer. We have him for almost 15 years. We are a mess. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Danielle and Scott, I am so sorry to hear this, I know you must be in shock. At least it does not seem like he suffered, if that is any consolation (and I know it's really not). Both of you and Buddy will be in my thoughts, and all the best for this weekend, I know he'll be with you.
