i voted sunday in august, if your priority is doing the outdoor ceremony and cocktail then you have a much better chance of nice weather in august

also, friday ceremony depending on time, people may notbe able to get to in tim after work so the whole point of it might be lost

I definitely vote for Sunday in August. I'm a big fan of having a lot of prep time for wedding and having a few days leading up to the celebration so Sunday is perf! IMO I also wouldn't want to go to a wedding on a Friday after work.

my personal opinion says friday in october. it still nice weather to have an outdoor ceremony and that way your guests will be able to party all night long..

I went to a sunday wedding once and the next day I had to work cause i couldnt get off... I felt bad that I had to leave early but FH works at 7am and wedding wasnt over until midnight.

my personal opinion is that I would always rather go to a friday wedding than a sunday wedding...

theres nothing wrong with Sunday wedding tho, and a sunday in the summer is really not a bad choice...

I voted for the Friday in Oct!!!!! October is a gorgeous month and I'd much rather do a wedding on a Friday than Sunday. Like you said, it's nice for your guests to not have to worry about going to work the next day!

the weather at the end of august is usually so beautiful though...and at clm, it's a perfect setting for the summer with the palm trees and the yaht entrance...i say go for the sunday wedding in august!!

no i would definitely not leave early if it ends at 10 and most people won't either

For me, I would prefer to attend a Sunday wedding, being an OOT guest, Friday evening weddings are hard to make with the time.

However, I think no matter what day you choose your family and friends will be so excited to party!

my ends at 9PM. ppl were very excited about the wedding, nobody even mentioned a word about it being inconvenient with work the next day.

really dont know why ppl have such a big deal w/a Sunday wedding. In the summer everyone are still out by midnite in the city and everyone has work, why wedding makes it any different for going out I have no idea

people will leave early regardless and i would rather go to a sunday wedding because you still have to work on friday and you might have a lot of no shows at the ceremony

i agree, i wanted a saturday wedding for the longest and it was really pushing our budget, i realized after we went to some saturday weddings that many people left early including us lol your closest friends and family will stay, thats how it is with every wedding regardless of the day or time

I voted for Sunday in August. Fh's b-day is Oct 29 and I was thinking about it and its always really cold on his birthday. I also prefer sunday weddings. I think I'm more likely to leave early on a Friday. I am usually really tired Friday nights from working all week.

for me, id rather do sunday..i think ending at 10 gives everyone plenty of time..

friday, i would have to take off work, or miss part of the wedding..plus not everyone has off saturday anyways-i dont and i havent for years..

and i say august, bc i like summer..personally i wouldnt be happy about sitting outside in october-anything below 70 i wear a coat

I'd rather go to a Friday wedding as a guest.

As a bride, I'd rather have an October wedding..I love the time of year. I had to do summer though b/c I'm a teacher and wanted to go on my HM right away.

I think you need to weigh what your biggest priority is. If you really, really want an outdoor ceremony than go with August. Yes, it could rain, but it is still much more likely that you will be able to get married outside in August than October. However, if the Friday evening wedding is your priority than go with October.
