DATES!

Original post by jackieee

Sooo i love CLM;we know it's THE ONE!! I want an outdoor ceremony. I know it could rain in August and be 70 in Oct; you never know with this weather. Still, end of Oct is more chance of an indoor; however, the indoor chapel is nice...

I would rather a Friday because I want people to party and drink and not worry about work on Monday. hahaha what do you think??

Opinions on Sunday weddings? Thanks!

I would make both days for a wedding, pick which is best for you and your FH and don't worry about the guest.

I think sunday because also...if someone can not take off and you expect them to be there....sunday most likely is when everyone is already off from work.

ITA...Friday's people have to take off and not everyone can take off...For example FH has to take all his vacation days this year for next yr and he wanted 2 days to fly in for his sister's wedding and already its taken. It's based on seniority...so he is hoping someone will switch or he may not be able to attend.

Aug. 22 is my parents wedding anniversary.

Id go with the October date.. Its still beautiful weather in October and not hot and sticky....sunday weddings **** ( I will never go to another one ever again 10pm dinner was not fair to those who work, unless its in the afternoon)

Saying that sunday weddings 's uck' could be deemed really offensive to the MANY MANY brides who have their weddings on Sunday.

I happen to have my wedding on a Sunday, but I realize that you're just insensitive so your comment doesn't bother ME any.

people will leave early regardless

i agree, i wanted a saturday wedding for the longest and it was really pushing our budget, i realized after we went to some saturday weddings that many people left early including us lol your closest friends and family will stay, thats how it is with every wedding regardless of the day or time

This is exactly the conclusion that FH and I came to when we decided to do a Sunday night wedding, and while our wedding is on a holiday weekend most of our guests do not get off that Monday. To us, we figured the people that really matter will always be the ones to stay.

I guess my Sunday night wedding is going to s*ck....

However, if you are really want a outdoor ceremony I would definitely do August. October could be chilly.
