David's Bridal, just plain rude....!!!!
Yesterday I went with a co-worker/friend of mine to David's Bridal on our lunch hour (the one in Queens). We were close by for pizza and I wanted to show her my gown.Well!!!....
When I walked in, the guy (big time JERK), asked me 'Can I help you?' and I replied, 'Hi, I bought my gown here, I have it home already, I just wanted my friend to see it in on the rack'., where he then said (rudely), 'Oh we don't let anyone in the bridal gown section to just show a dress, but your welcome to look in the bridemaids section, here take home a catalog & show her in here'.
I was like huh?!?! I wanted to knock him out.
It was ok for me (well my mom) to spend the $900 on my gown though!
He was just plain RUDE. I hear all this crap about Davids. When I first went looking for my gown, we went in there just for the heck of it. I never ever thought I'd buy something from there, let alone my wedding gown, but low & behold, I found THE ONE! Anyway, I was treated by a saleswoman Anita, so kindly, and with such care & concern, I was such a happy camper.
Now, not only will I not buy anything else in there again, I definately will not go there for my alterations, especially after hearing the posts on this board about the alterations!
Just wanted to vent and let everyone know if you go in the one in Queens for any reason and see the flamer, watch out for his nasty a$$!

Wow. I understand your frustration at david's and at that sales guy in particular, but I take HUGE offense to your referring to him as a 'flamer'. Do you even know the origin of that word?? It is an extremely derrogatory reference, Im surprised you would use it in a public forum like this.

Re: David's Bridal, just plain rude....!!!!
JPSGIRL i edited my post...didnt mean it in that way....Yea I do know what the word means, Thanks for the comment girl, however I didn't mean it in that way, I meant he was one who is extremely RUDE! And for your info, I have an aunt & cousin who I love very dearly who happen to be gay and so is a good friend of mine...whatever makes one happy is what I say.
I was just totally frustrated and embarrased in front of a co worker that i was treated so rudely by a place where I bought, of all things, my gown

Re: David's Bridal, just plain rude....!!!!
Jennbaby,When I went shopping with my best friend for her gown we went to David's Bridal in Paramus & they salesperson there was very RUDE too!! BOTH of us wanted to knock her out by the time we were done. She kept insinuating that we couldn't 'afford' expensicve dresses there, everytime my friend wanted to try on one of their 'expensive' dresses she would say 'Oh, that dress costs a LOT' We were like 'Do we look poor?' THen she butted in on a conversation we were having after we were discussing going to RK Bridal she said 'Oh, that's even more expensive than the dresses here.' We told her we were going to speak to her supervisor after that last comment, we were so fed up at that point!
I don't understand why people like this work in a business were they are supposed to cater to us and make us happy, don't they realize that one pleasant experience brings them MORE business?! My friend & I BOTH refused to buy ANYTHING from David's after that, I refused to look for my dress there too when it came time for me to look for mine.

Re: David's Bridal, just plain rude....!!!!
They did the same thing to us!!!!
My friend bought her dress there and it sounded very similar to mine. We went to check it out. The lady at the front desk stopped us and said that we were not allowed in the wedding gown section alone. I explained our situation and then asked if a salesperson can help. She suddenly developed an attitude and said that we needed an appointment. I asked if we could make one. She avoided the question but said 'Look you already ordered the dress, you are wasting everyone's time, we work on commission.'
Can you believe it!!! If the store was busy, I could understand her getting a bit frustrated but it was practically empty!!!
I am so mad we gave them our business!!! I ordered my BM dresses through them.!!

this david's bridal sounds like anightmare. i am so sorry so many of you had to have such a great part of planning ruined by this chain. They should really reconsider their work ethic. Word travels fast.
