Which will be the best David's bridal to go to. I'm hearing stores about different locations.

Re: David's Bridal
The one I had a problem with was in Carle Place.
ETA: I haven't been to any of their other locations.

Re: David's Bridal
There are only two around, Carle Place and LIC....If you go to Carle place, the reception people are rude, the manager( my mom requested) was a sweetheart and I ordered my dress and ran, will pick it up and run...I think their moods change daily there...

Re: David's Bridal
I went to the one in Carle Place for a BM dress and it was fine. Personally I wouldn't have my dress altered there and I took it to a seamstress.

Re: David's Bridal
very nice help in DB Colonie, tried on about 7 dresses but nothing popped. Really shocked about how nice the gowns were for the prices
Ive heard alot of people say well you get what you pay for but i liked their gowns and fabric alot more than any other place.
Only problem is that thye have tons of strapless but i want sleeves so no davids gown for me
have an appt for hillary's bridal up in Cairo NY though...i wish i could go to all the places you gals go ....maybe on a long weekend i'll come down

DITTO--- THe manager (I think her name was Carmela)... Was the ONLY person who was nice to me and Neenie when we went back with our issues of their 'service'...
BUT their prices can't be beat!!! so I say, Order your dress, pick it up, and RUN!
Since I've picked it up, i'm totally happy with the dress... I'm doing alterations elsewhere!

Re: David's Bridal
I have been to two. The one in Carle Place was very disorganized and a complete mess, BUT the people were nothing but nice and helpful, then the other was in Attleboro, Massachusetts, and the store was GORGEOUS. The people we amazing. TOTALLY different than the one here in NY.

I went to a DB in New Jersey and had a positive experience, even though I decided not to purchase my gown there.

Re: David's Bridal
I went to DB in Carle Place and had a really good experience. My consultant was Becca and she was an angel I was there for 2 1/2 hours tried on a zillion dresses and not once did she get upset. I thought they were very organized- you had to make an appt or could make one in person. I only had to wait 20 min. She was great with suggestions to my figure and suggested what would look best and she was deadon!!! I pick up my dress in Dec. now Im not sure what to do about alterations after reading some of these posts. Hmmmm.

Re: David's Bridal
They were rude to me because I didn't have an appointment, even though I didn't need their help- I just wanted to try on one dress to show my grandmother. They kept insisting that SOMEONE HAD to help me- I was only visiting ny, so this was the only time my grandma would see me in the dress... I almost walked out, until I spoke with the manager (I think her name was susan or sharon? She had reddish hair and was tall) and she was really nice. I actually ordered my dress that day since I found out it was discontinued.. it shipped in from out of state in two days in AWESOME brand-new condition. So, in the end, things worked out!

Re: David's Bridal
OMG I went dress shopping yesterday and ended up going there. I thought DB was so great and I am supposed to love them like the commercial states. Needless to say I HATED them and would never visit there establishment again. They were so rude and nobody knew what they were doing after 20 min of waiting for some help we left.

Re: David's Bridal
I think its not so much the corporation itself cause like I said, the one upstate NY was so freindly and not crowded at all, on a sat afternoon nonetheless, and someone else just posted that one in Mass was the same so
If you are really set on going to a DB, or you need to go somewhere the prices are low.....(i tried on 7 dresses bt 250- 600 dollars)
i would try the ones upstate ( Spring valley is only 1 1/2 hr and Middletown is about 2 hrs away for you gals)

Re: David's Bridal
i also had problems with a friends wedding at the long island city store. they lost our order 3 times in less than a month. not someplace that i intend to get mine or my bridal party's dresses from.
also, about this time last year there was a story in the newspaper about a shipment of dresses to a davids bridal in brooklyn (i think that was the store) that came infested with bugs

Re: David's Bridal
My friend worked at the one in Carle Place & she had a ton of stoires and she only worked there a week before quitting. SHe thought everyone was rude, they would tell people that they ordered dresses which were never ordered & all kinds of crazy things.
I was in a bridal party and got the dresses there. They weren't nice but everything was okay with the dresses.

Re: David's Bridal
I had problems with the one in Queens, they were rude and so unhelpful. I had to try on all dresses by myself - no one helped. It was terrible and I didn't like their dresses either.
