David's Bridal

Any thoughts on DB?

I used to be against it, but for no reason...

I'm seeing a few dresses i really like - Any opinions on the store itself?

I think its a good place but make sure they order you a new gown thwey try to sell you the ones off the rack that others have tried on and i would also get alterations done somewhere else

I completely agree!
I have gotten over the idea that more $$$ means a better dress and they have some cute BM options. They have a million dresses in the stores to try on. Just make sure yours gets ordered just for you. I have heard a few stores about girls who were sold the in-store dresses that had been tried on by God-only-knows who.

Used them. Loved them. And my girls loved me because their dresses were only $99!

I went to the davids bridal on central ave, Yonkers..and I was very pleased. I actually brought my dress when they were having the $99 bridal gown sale..so I got to take mine home the same day..but my girls brought their dresses there to and they got an awesome deal and the dresses came in about 2mths, with no problems. I would def. recommended.

I got my dress at David's, and I love it!

I got one they had there, too (not enough time to order) but there was nothing wrong with it AND they steamed it.

I also got it altered there and they did a fabulous job!

My BMs dresses came from there and they are perfect!

I got my dress at David's and my BM dresses there too. I had a great experience. My dress came in super fast w/ no problems! As far as orderign a new dress, I did. But I hear they just get them in from another store, and when you but clothes at a store they have been tried on, so the theory is what you make of it.

I have to admit to you....I didn't like the fact that the probability of other brides having my dress would be higher from DB than at other Bridal Salons. Despite that, I went to visit the store b/c my sister picked out her dress there. Luckily for her, the girl that helped her out knew me and HOOKED her UP!!!! My sister was married in Jamaica and looked like a beautiful doll in her DB dress. It's sitting in my mom's house now. When I got engaged, I visited little boutiques first b/c I knew I wanted a Maggie Sottero and of course that's not available at DB. So after trying dress after dress ...my sister tells me just out of curiousity, try these dresses on at DB. I go there..and out of 5 dresses, I only liked 1. We initially went there for the BM dresses, but their color Pool was a bit too blue for what I was looking for. I didn't get the dress...and instead visited RK Bridal. There I fell in love with the dresses in a 100th power! I had a hard time picking my dress. After trying on 35 dresses in different stores, I was able to chose a Mori Lee over other designers. I liked the attention at RKBridal. DB is like a factory...you're in and you're out....not really individualized or as attentive as the other boutiques. I'm not particularly fond of their dresses except for the designer lines like: Cassini, Lhullier, and Galina.

ditto- alterations there can be a problem- and the customer service at the one in Westbury was horrible- but they do have some pretty stuff!

David's Bridal...I love their dresses! My BM, JBM and FG dresses came in perfectly...but the customer service is GOOD FOR THE GARBAGE.....beware of the Westbury location....they're rude!! they don't know what they're doing either! it took 4 phone calls to find out if ONE pair of shoes that were paid for were in stock!!!!!! They say they called me and they never did!! There dye for the wine was coming out too dark and streaky so we decided to wait to die everyones shoes...BUT THEY STILL DYED THEM!!!!!!!!! I will be going to the lake grove location from now on (even though its 30 miles out of the way)...

go there and make your own preception....its nice to be able to try on the dresses and take pics which most salons dont let you do this........then you can see different styles and compare

I got my dress, MOH dress, and FG dress at DB. I actually enjoyed the experience there. Everyone I spoke to, either in person or on the phone was very courteous and helpful I would definately recommend just going there to look and feel it out.

i love my db dress! its gorgoeus.and i feel fantastic in it
. ive seen it in similar style frmo higher priced designers.. as much as id want to spend the extra $$ getting quality satin and such.. its better spent in my case on other things.. limo, flowers etc...
they were very nice to me there.. it was teh third dress i put on.. and i was good to go...

yup just go in there dn take ur time... dnot let them push u into anything.. also insist on a new dress not the off the rack ones...

I used their site to help me pick out BM's dresses, they have that cool interactive part of the site where you can dress your whole bridal party in the dresses they have, save it and print it out.

completely agreed...they have some beautiful things..I got my gown there and they did try to sell me the one off the rack...but the new one came in in a very timely manner...i have used them before for alterations when I was a BM and i am definitely getting my dress altered elsewhere..

Re: David's Bridal

I ordered my BM dresses there and I didn't have any problems. The dresses came in early. Their customer service is good sometimes and bad others. I guess it depends on whether you go on the weekend or during the week. HTH
