Though I have to say I walked out of bridal reflections after about 5 minutes...the atitudes were horrible.....I really think that no matter where you go as long as youcan mesh well with the person helping you ..the experience should be good.....I did learn though that there is nothing wrong with nicely asking for someone else to assist you if you dont feel comfortable with the person helping you ....

i really dont know how they are still in business
I agree with you! But like everything else in life, you get what you pay for!
this is what i was referring to earlier today, so if i only have a 1K-1.5K budget for the dress, i should expect the worst service and a sh*tty dress according to you, right, puhhhlease...
I'm going to ignore the negativity and be helpful as I always try to be....there are some places on the border of Nassau/Queens that have GREAT dresses, that are really nice stores with nice people, and carry 95% of dresses under $2,000.00. Small shops are good to go into..you never know what you'll find. I have a friend that found a designer gown that costs $5,000 at a local shop and got it for 1/3 of the price! Good luck tomorrow at David's Bridal..I hope they have the dress you want.

Re: Davids Bridal
Honestly, I had a great experience at the David's Bridal in the Source Mall. I went there three times (two times to try on dresses and one time to pick up my veil), and every time I went, the salesladies were extremely nice and helpful.
Anywhere you go, there's always going to be at least one or two unfriendly and/or unhelpful people. I went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa for my BMs dresses and the lady there hardly helped us. She was nice, but she did absolutely nothing to help us. I had a much better experience at David's.

Re: Davids Bridal
I actually popped into David in the source mall the other day. Just to check out BMs dresses. And a customer was getting loud with the front desk girl over something I don't know. I'm scared to buy anything there! I've heard nothing but bad things!!!

Re: Davids Bridal
I was nervous before I went to David's Bridal, but am happy to say that I had a great experience at the Lake Grove store. My 'bad experience' with poor customer service was at a smaller, more expensive bridal shop. I think it really does depend on the salesperson, time of day, etc. Although I do believe that good customer service should apply at all times across the board. It's just good business...especially in the wedding business. When we have to deal with bad salespeople, they are essentially ruining our moment.

I agree....higher end stores and lower end stores have their good salespeople and bad ones...we all just have to pray we get the good ones! lol

very true, it all depends on the sales people and not the type of place it is, whether its upscale or not. Sometimes you get ppl who know what they're doing and love their job, and then you'll get ppl who work there just to work there, don't know alot and hate it.
I went to one place to look at BM dresses, i had already bought my dress elsewhere and this one sales lady was so nice to everyone but the other one was so moody, and as i was standing right next to her looking at dresses all she did was complain to the other lady about the management there and how horrible they are and how they don't care, and how she hates her job and blah blah blah and how they're not on top of things...UHMMMM i could be a potential customer and you're talking about all this in front of me

I HATE disgruntled workers!!! I find that a lot lately....in random stores like Bed, Bath and Beyond, Home Depot Expo Design Center, Bridal shops, Restaurants.....I always wonder why these people stay miserable instead of going to find a new job????
