Hi ladies, I need your help. I was totally against David's Bridal for bridesmaid dresses because I've heard so many horror stories. Turns out I may have to use them after all and I wanted to know if any of you have used them and how your experiance was???? Thanks ladies

Re: David's Bridal
My sis used them for her wedding... the one by my house was TERRIBLE ... we ended up using the on in Yonkers which was so far away, but the staff there was really sweet and the alterations woman was very nice, so no problems there. The dresses there run really small thought, which I think they do on purpose so you have to get a bigger size and alter the hell out of it.

You will get bad reviews about any bridal store because no one is perfect. If you have to use David's then do so because there are many brides who have good experiences too.
Good Luck!

Re: David's Bridal
I have to say I have not had a horror story yet with them. Just one woman was a little pushy..... But the other times I didn't have any problems, and my girls love the dress we picked..... The prices was 155.00, plus they get 20.00 off cause I got my dress there...

Re: David's Bridal
Try the Westbury one, it you go during the week ask for Donna. She's only there M,W and F from 10-4, but I loved her..... And if you can go one a Sunday it's better then a Saturday less of a crowd....

Re: David's Bridal
I've had to get a BM dress there before and we didn't have any problems.

Re: David's Bridal
I bought my dress and BM dresses at David's. I wouldn't say it was a horrible experience but they definitely aren't helpful. I do not have any complaints as they took back my unaltered never worn dress that I had for three months and allowed me to exchange it for a different one. Their dresses are very reasonable and pretty good quality for the price. My BM dresses were also 155 and 20 off because I bought my dress there. It surprises me that they work on commission because they don't go out of their way to help you. If you do in fact buy your dresses there DO NOT get them altered there! My 'bridal consultant' told me that herself...she was really nice, not overly helpful but I really liked her! HTH and GL!!!

I would only suggest going elsewhere for your alterations.

Yea I too heard about their alteration issues, so I'm hoping to find a seamstress in my area for my dress and my girls.

Really? i had a great experience there. I believe it was on 48th Street. I mean granted it wasn't Kleinfelds...but it wasn't that bad either. Maybe they were having an off day..or perhaps it depends on who you get...

ITA.... there are good and bad reviews about every place on here. Go there and get a feel for the place and the people, you never know how it might turn out.
