I know for brides dresses David Bridal will push you to get the actual dress that you try on instead of ordering a brand new one for you. But do they have the same policy for MOB dresses? I avoided that place b/c of this reason but now my mom is looking for her dress and I thought maybe they would be a good place to try, as long as they dont have the same policy. Anyone know?

Yes! My Mom bought her gown from Davids Bridal in Westbury, and your ABSOLUTELY can have a new one ordered, dont let them tell you otherwise! In fact once my mom ordered, it took only about 3 weeks to come in.

You def can have one ordered and not have to take the one in stock. It may be the location you are going to but that is not there policy. If anything try another location

You def can have a new one ordered. We looked there but my mom hated all the dress there. She keeps saying i dont want to look like an old lady!! LOL. So we will continue to shop around!

Its funny you say that because my Mom bought off of the evening gown/ bridesmaids gown section b/c she thought the MOB section was too 'old' for her too.

I don't blame her- I saw some of the gowns and was like 'eewww'.
And you can defnitely have them order a new dress and not take the sample.. if they try and make you think that then go to a diffrent location.

My mom has been saying the same thing about looking too old....or 'frumpy' as she calls it. So maybe we wont look there. Thanks for the responses though!
