My best friend (BM) mentioned to me that we should invite our friends for a brunch the day after the wedding (Sun of presidents day weekend). I think this would be nice but cant afford to pay for everyone. Is it ok to ask people to come even if you dont plan on paying? It would be like a 20-25$ brunch buffet at a local restaurant. We arent sure what to do about it.

We are having a brunch the next day at the hotel but only inviting the bridal party, their guests and immediate family....since we are payiing for it.
Anyone else who stays can eat at the hotel separate and pay for themselves otherwise it will end up like a mini wedding in the morning!

I want to do a brunch but just with my immediate family only becauswe FH dad and brother live out of state so i thought it would be nice and we're all staying at a hotel so we can just eat breakfast together...im not sure if wed pay though well see
