you dont NEED but if your like me and worry about every little detail than you should have one. i dont wanna worry about a thing the day of, i want someone to take care of everything and let me enjoy my day. sure i could have let a family member do that but id rather have someone im paying $$ to take care of it cuz they have an incentive and their reputation on the line.
they basically make sure everything is running smoothly the day of. make sure everyone is ready, make sure all the vendors do their job, and makes sure everything happens when its supposed to.

It's a personal decision. Some people like a DOC coordintor so that they don't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding. Other people trust taht their vendors and halls will do it themselves just fine.

i posted on vendors helping brides asking for price quotes and a description of what it is that they do because i had NO idea. i got a few responses. just an idea!
