Day of Coordinator - UPDATE!

I'm SURE there is a thread somewhere in here (on the 08 board), but I was wondering if any of you were using a DOC?

Since I'm in Boston, and unable to easily get shizzle done for my LI wedding, I'm debating hiring one. But I have NO idea how much individual ones cost, or who is really good.

Can you tell me:
1 - who yours is (if you have one)
1a - if you AREN't having one, reasons why you arent...

2 - how much you are paying for one (you can FM me if you feel uncomfortable posting it on here)

3 - what you get for the $$

I really appreciate the help ladies!

Also, is there an underground contingency of people who will REALLLLLLLLY give me the low down on certain DOC's? I feel like everyone RAVES about them....but I wonder where those people are that weren't 100% thrilled with their DOC.

Day of Coordinator - UPDATE!

Follow up:

I contacted yet ANOTHER DOC to get info. My first email was answered, and I was really excited about meeting with her! But after my follow up email (on December 7th) I have heard nothing! (In the follow up I asked her for specific pricing for a detailed list of services....why set up a meeting if you aren't in my price range, right?!)

This is someone who comes HIGHLY recommended by everyone. I just don't get it...? I'm not a wack-job....I'm not pushy, and I'm not demanding - at all! I'm pretty laid back, actually! So I don't get why I haven't heard anything in 2 weeks...?

I sent 2 follow ups since then (one on the 14th and one today)....

And using 'the holidays' as an excuse is unacceptable - in my book. That might be an excuse if I had initially contacted her this week and she couldn't get back to me until after Christmas/New Years....but come on!

And these people want our money!? It's unbelieveable.

I'm so disappointed.

If you don'tmind could you FMwith some details, I plan on using a DOC.
