Day of nail polish conundrum!

So I initially really wanted to do my nails in a dark purple/plum color instead of a french or something similar, because I am not so much of a french mani/pale pink kinda girl. But I feel like the dresses I've been looking at might be too traditional for it!

I fear that everyone's attention will be immediately drawn to your nails instead of the dress!

Can you simplify your nails and do the french, and do a colored necklace in plum or something? Somethin gso that attention is drawin to you in your gown- not on your hands!

I know... but having a french or pale color isn't me! Even in the spring/summer I wear bright colors.

Plus, I have only kinda/sorta stopped biting my nails in the past few months, and so my nails aren't in the greatest of shapes... a darker color helps to camouflage that. Sigh. Who would have thought that something so simple would be so complicated?
