I just wanted a Saturday night....always did and happily I was able to get it. I sacrificed summer /spring and will be having a winter/Christmas time wedding. And I have to say Im loving it. On the other hand, I have been to awesome afternoon weddings too and ppl definitely do dance.

We are having an evening wedding..Church @ 3..CH @ 6
This gives us enough time to take pics during the day and evening
ETA: I have been to both day and evening and had an equally good time

did you ever consider a twilight time on a sunday?? Twilight is from around 4-9pm...it's great b/c it's part afternoon, part evening...so you get both feels and it's usually a little more expensive than a day wedding but cheaper than a saturday night wedding.

Like many girls in here, we started with wanting an evening wedding. The difference in price between day and night and the number you had to gaurantee was what made the difference for us. We couldn't guarantee anything close to what these places wanted anyway. Since we are getting married over the summer, I like the feel of having it during the day and with my crowd of family and friends, they will be dancing regardless. We plan on having an afterparty anyway. The only negative thing I am finding is there is not a lot of time to get things done in the morning. Good thing I am a morning person!

We are having an evening wedding, but the only reason I didn't consider a daytime wedding is because we wouldn't have been able to get married in church and make it to the venue on time. If we were getting married at the venue I TOTALLY would have been up for a day wedding. That way you have the WHOLE day, you can take advantage of the beautiful grounds that many places have for more time and the afterparty can continue for whomever wishes to continue.

I had a 12-5 wedding and everyone was dancing and eating/drinking as much as they would for an evening wedding... it made no difference whatsoever! I actually loved that i was able to go back to our hotel for an after party after the wedding...
