Daytime wedding...candlelight?

Is it too tacky/inappropriate to light candles for the dinner reception during a daytime wedding (1:30-5:30pm)? If so, what can I use to substitute for my centerpieces? I really need opinions. I want to make them myself because they seem to be very expensive to buy. Thanks.

I don't think so. Candles create an elegant atmosphere regardless of the time of day.

Daytime wedding...candlelight?

I think candles are perfect all the time. Ihave one lit on my desk right now and it completely sets the mood even though it's daylight. A nice bouquet of fresh flowers in a glass bowl with either tapers or votives I think is perfectly appropriate - and NOT TACKY! Good luck!

I love candles any time. You can get real creative with shapes and sizes. I remember a MS daytime table set with votives and a garland running down the table over a runner. It was beautiful Another alternative to consider for centerpieces is potted flowering plants. You can also use them as favors.

I dont think there is anything tacky about it. Candles are pretty any time of the day.
