here is one small part of it

Under the tentative plan, families with children would receive an additional $300 per child, subject to an overall cap of perhaps $1,200, according to a senior House aide who outlined the deal on condition of anonymity in advance of formal adoption of the whole package. Rebates would go to people earning below a certain income cap, likely individuals earning $75,000 or less and couples with incomes of $150,000 or less.

i know i was JUST reading about that part...when i posted i didn't finish reading the whole thing

i am actually bringing in my W2 this weekend to get it done. If i get screwed i am going to be so F*IN pissed ...now im even more annoyed bc i got my w2 first week of january and should've done it then.

Wait till fh hears this, he was excited about bringing it to my guy bc he thinks he'll get more money back which he probably will. BUt who knows now what will happen

does it mean that up to 75K you will get a rebate - up to 87K for a partial rebate (this is for singles) and then if you make over 87K you get nothing? if so that really s-u-c-k-s!!!!

WOW fh and I finally get a chance to get some damn money back. I feel like sometimes you gotta be rich to get some money back on taxes because people with higher incomes typically get more deductions. WHOO HOO it pays to be dirt poor for once.

I odn't know if that's necessarily the case, because the people that make more $ get WAY more taxes taken out initially... close to 50%!!!!!

I think if you make more you have the potential to own more and therefore you have more deductions....especially if you own your own business....i think taxes are felt across the board lately though....I work in the restaurant industry and I get taxed on almost every dollar i make now! SUUUUUUCKS!!!! The MAN IS BRINGING ME DOWN!!!!

I know!!!! I feel like $75K is a nice salary, and I make an ok one but no where near that - so it's nice that I will get something back!!!! awesome news for me. And most american households, it seems, since the median household salary in the country is no where near $150K.

my FH gets more taxes taken out than my entire gross salary - unless you have lots of write offs (which he doesnt) you get screwed when you make a lot of money....it really s-u-c-k-s
