Dear FH,

I love you so much. And Happy Birthday, by the way.

However, your limited, unadventurous, picky palate is driving me up the wall. I've been looking for weeks for a restaurant that isn't steak or seafood cause we don't like steak, you don't like seafood, and that isn't ITalian because generally, that's all that's left and that's all we ever eat. WE just had Mexican so that's out. I wanted to take you somewhere kind of nice, but you're a PITA!
If our kids grow up eating the way you do, YOU are feeding them cause I'm not dealing with this crap like your mom did. Eat what's there or starve, that's the rule.

well happy birthday to your FH! I wish i coudl help! but you pretty much crossed out any restaurant I would have suggested with all the restrictions! Lol

Maybe look up New American restaurants?

If he likes Italian, does he like Mediteranean?

My FH doesn't eat vegetables. I have to make him like a nagging mother. I also told him he'd better eat his veggies at the table and pretend he likes it when we have kids because I'm not dealing with that either!

Nope. He hates Asian too. I wanted something nicer than a pub, but not like 4 star cause I'm sorta poor... but I am SO SICK of Italian and he hates everything else.

I think we're gonna go to Mim's. IT has a decent selection for both of us and a decent atmosphere I just hate that they don't take reservations for parties fewer than 6 people.

I'm stupid cause I made him to go City Cellar like, 2 weeks ago and we liked it, but he doesn't want to go to the same restaurant again.

You know... since we were going to Four for brucnh supposedly the next day, I didn't think of taking him there for dinner.

Hmm, but now I Can consider it! Thanks!

PS, I HATE fondue. It's good for apps and dessert, but not dinner. I got SO SICK last time we went. Blech. And Id on't want to cook my own food. I'd stay home if I was gonna do that.

OHH man - yea - you have a tough on here. City Cellar would be great but oh well. Mim's sounds nice - i dont blame ya though, I'm Italian and I get sick of it some times too.

I am sure you guys will have a great time no matter where you go - your company should be enough for him lol

why not try japanese or chinese or thai? something asian?

you can take him to a hibachi place, those are always entertaining.

seriously that is so annoying..FH is sooooooo picky and before he met me he NEVERRRRRRRRRRRR EVERRRRRRRRRR ATE OUT BECAUSE HE IS SPOILED AND HIS MOM CATERED TO HIM PICKINESS AND MADE A HOME COOKED MEAL AROUND HIM EVERY NIGHTTTTT.. now im stuck with it lol... he doesnt eat anything...good luck to you my FH birthday is on Sat so Im in the same dilema..

GAAAAH, I know!! But if I don't take him out, I'm a bad fiancee and I don't care because he ALWAYS takes me out But I EAAAAAT!

Ir eally can't tell you how sick of Italian food I am. And we go to really nice places and he gets the SAME THING everywhere. Chicken parm or chicken fancese. But if I MAKE him go somewhere a little different, he'll try things. He had the fried green tomato salad at City Cellar and loved it. But I can't do something crazy like Japanese cause then he won't talk to me.

LOL, and I can't do Famous Dav'es cause I've been wanting to go for a while and he'll be like, oh, it's MY birthday so we're going where YOU want? LOL

UGH.

Oh, and I don't want to schlep to Manhattan. It's been a long week, I'm tired.

Lisa suggested F H Riley's, I might do that.
