first off Happy Birthday!!!
second off your FH is acting like a spoiled brat and he should've learned a thing or 2 from valentines day (my FH did the same thing). i think u should show him this thread so he maybe he can realize that he is the wrong one in this situation .

I agree with showing him this. I would copy and paste it and say you were 'GOING' to post it...it was really a vent and you had to get it off your chest.

If he thinks you went to 'everyone' he might be pissed. And not that you have to protect his feelings, but its one thing to say 'this is how im feeling' and another to say 'I went on the internet and vented to peple I dont know.'

(You know what I mean by that)

Let him know how hurt you are, and that these things ARE important to you.

Im so sorry he is being an a$$.

i def agree with you on that. my FH knows that i post everything. usually when we are discussing something we cant figure out, he will say 'what do the girls say?' as if he knows i already posted it

my FH barely acknowledged my bday last yr too. I still remember that to him

wow, that is not cool!

I am not a V-Day person so FH is off the hook but it bothers me that he never does ANYTHING besides a dinner out and even that is at the last minute, not very thought out or romantic. 'Presents' are always something he ASKS me if I want and we buy when we're out so it never actually feels like a gift.

For his 29th I played hooky with him and took him to great adventure, vip fun pass, everything. Looked everywhere for TWO limited edition polos he've been drooling over. His 30th I paid for a weekend in poconos with a bunch of our friends and a SURPRISE party. His 31st, jets vs giants great seats.

Anyway, sorry, I've started to ramble.

my point is that it bothers me but I've noticed FH and his family just don't really celebrate birthdays or holidays. 'It's just another day' seems to be the motto so that's probably where he gets that from.

Maybe your fh is similar in that way? Still, I hope he makes a little effort at least...starting with an apology!
