Dear fellow brides...today's lesson is...

how to use the word no. I know its hard and if you have any drama after using it, you can blame me :) I dont mind.

here's an example:

Mom: I dont like those flowers. You need more roses and i dont like the colors. make them lighter.

You : hey mom. no. Look...a puppy outside. It's so cute. go look.

distraction works well w this as well.

another example:

FH: hey wanna go w me and my friend and 25 people you dont know to an annoyingly crowded bar to watch UFC fights? oh and i'll get drunk while you're bored and miserable and drinking diet coke?

Me: hmm..ya know what babe? No, I think I'll pass but you have a great time. I'm tired ans feel like laying low tonight ok?

Now, text your friend and make better plans without all these annoying people lol

Here's another one:

FMIL: 'I want dancing queen played at the wedding, I want so and so to walk me down the aisle, you have to come to MY church for certain holidays, blah blah blah, wah wah wah'

Me: 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!'

FMIL: 'I want all the aunts and uncles to come to the rehearsal dinner even though you're already having 50 people. Also, all the uncles are going to wear tuxedos and boutaneires and the aunts will be in gowns and have corsages. AND I know you said we have to limit ourselves to 110 guests on our side of the family BUT I really feel like I need to invite every 4th cousin I have even though I NEVER talk to them and they don't even know your name! That's fine right?'

Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ahhhh much better!

FSIL: But you have to invite my best friend...

Everyone around her: NO!

FH: 'But I neeeeeeeed these leather gloves, new expensive coat, stupidly expensive bloody mary mix, new shoes etc. Really Chan, I NEED them. '

How bout NOOOOOO. You NEED to stop buying stuff and start saving for this wedding or else we are going to be broke.

FMIL ' But all my best friends NEED to be invited to your shower!'


Me. Mom. Sister. 'No! MY best friends need to be invited!'

Person 1: What are you doing for your favors.

Me: I'm not sure yet

Person 1: you should really do donation. don't do a favor. Just don't give me a favor, put a donation for me.

Mom (who watches RHofNJ): You should look at the Brownstone (in NJ) for your wedding.

Me: Maybe we can invite Danielle Staub while we're at it? NOOOOO

me - umm no. we booked limos already, and only BP will be in it.
