Dear the 6 guests, who were last minute cancellations...
As much as i try to sympathize with your unforeseen circumstances, we are out over 800.00 for your failure to attend as you responded....
The least you can do is send us a gift or call to wish us the best!!!!
Edited to say....I COULD HAVE HAD A DOC with that money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Dear the 6 guests, who were last minute cancellations...
i know this is not the polite thing to do but i often find that the polite thing to do makes you a doormat sometimes...
i'm tempted to send a thank you card to the 1 guest who didn't show up at my wedding. I'm tempted to tell her thanks for not showing up, calling, or sending a congrats card and tell her how rude that was.
(i don't think people should get away with this sort of thing because it's not right).

see that's so not right and incredibly rude!!! So here's my question:
why is it rude to say something to that person who didn't come? Most will tell you to just forget about it... but seriously... if you're as mad as i am... you're never going to talk to that person again. So why not say what you have to say them first?

I still can't believe people do this, I understand sometimes things come up at the last minute but, no call? No card? Nothing??? An email???
I'm finding out during this wedding planning process how thoughtless some individuals can be. I know each of our wedding is more important to us than anyone else but, it's just common courtesy!

Re: Dear the 6 guests, who were last minute cancellations...
Seriously where do people get their B A L L S????
How very rude...we are thinking we will get stiffed by 4 no shows - FH's cousins -
They never responded and we needed to know yes or no - he called them 5 times asking them to just either leave a message telling us if they were coming or to send the rsvp card...she finally called back to say yes after FH called a sixth time and left a message saying that he is marking them as no's...
The thing is they responded yes to my shower - TWO days before and never showed... We will be out well over $550 - if they decide they have better things to do that night

I guess I am the minority here. I had zero no shows. I guess we were lucky.

Re: Dear the 6 guests, who were last minute cancellations...
Glad I am not the only one.....just to clarify, these last minute cancellations did call us THE DAY BEFORE.....except for one!!! Poor DH had two couples and I had two singles....but we both had to listen to to BS excuses from these people the day before....
The only person who was a no show that did not call was my cousin..who was supposed to sit at my moms table!!! The kicker from her was...when i got home from the HM, I found a message from her saying how she got lost coming to the church and went home since she missed every one??????

Re: Dear the 6 guests, who were last minute cancellations...
The cousin excuse is pretty lame to say the least.
I'm actually pretty lucky, in regards to where I got married. My place gave me 6 free no-shows.
