i did ant it helped a lot..but only a month i was part of it
once you learn the legalities of it on your own..its far easier to do it yourself..i did it and was debt free in 6 months as opposed to 2 years with the company

Re: Debt consolidation?
We were thinking about it but....
Supposedly if you do it, it will be visable on your credit report for up to 7 years. We decided not to do it incase we decided to buy a house down the line.

Re: Debt consolidation?
if you have time i would read robert kiyosaki's debt book- it has great information on how to fix your debt yourself and they are practical and really work.

That I am not quite sure of. We were going to do credit cards/store cards. Student loans might be different.

yes, you have to consolidate them separate.- check with ur lender.
I would totally consolidate on your own, find a credit card with no interest for 9 months or so with a low interest rate after that., transfer your balance onto them and pay it off.. If you cant pay it off by the no-interest cut off date....your still paying a low interest rate rather than have a bunch of cc's with higher rates.

Re: Debt consolidation?
I did it a really long time ago..DON'T DO IT. It really messed me up because although it does not show negative on the credit report it says something like credit education and it looked like I was defaulting on stuff although they dont tell you that. If anything I would try to put all your debt in a personal loan and pay it off that way. Good Luck!!!!!
