December '09 / January '10 / February '10 Reception Hall Prices...
Original post by WinterBride1
Hello everyone. New to this website!!! But seems like there is loads of info on this site!!!
I am looking for a reception hall location for a winter wedding, but my fiance and I will be paying for the entire thing... and so we are on a limited budget!
Just wondering what were some of the prices that everyone has heard for Dec. 2009, Jan. 2010 and Feb. 2010.
The places that I have gone to so far have all been over $110pp, but some of the threads online tell a different story!
Help!!!!!!! Thanks! <3 - Winter Bride in Need of Much Help!

true, but we told the owner (he's greek and so are we) that we dont want the honeymoon since we've been to greece a million times and he really didnt do much with the price once we told him that (he owns the hotel you stay at in greece and i think its closed from nov-feb anyway).
wow this is very interesting, its basically they are pyaing for your flights since the hotel cost is nothing to them.

i know so it kinda pissed me off and i didnt want to book with them.... it seems like they're a little desperate to book wedding thought b/c they've called me at least 5 times... So for the brides that are considering Sandcastle, the longer you hold out the more you get for your money!!

Does anyone have prices for The Royalton for winter 2010? I was told $155 ++ and that seems high from what I've hear.

The Royalton quoted me a bit lower than that for January... you need to ask them to be frank with you about the prices... I think they went down to $20+ from that amount.

I got married at the Royalton on a Sat. in December of 2007 and it was more than that so I can only imagine by 2010 it would be even higher.

jan is a bit lower, but i found that feb and mar were the cheapest. It will be hard to find a saturday evening in jan under $110pp but its do-able, definitely. i think if you did a friday night, you would definitely come in way under. don't forget to add in the tax and tip into the prices, it goes up quite a bit.
Sorry to bust into your thread here, but, I'm getting married on a Sat night in January and I'm paying $65pp. I mean, I am getting married in 2 weeks, but I can't see the price jumping so much in one year especially with the economy being so bad right now.

The price didnt jump all that much...WHen I booked Chateau Briand I was given a price of $70 pp + tax and grat. I added things so it made the price higher- but a $5 difference isnt all that much.

I would try The Manor East in Massapequa, they have really great packages, I was quoted $85 pp on a Sun in Sept
My first wedding was there. It was one of the best parties I have ever been to!!
Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. If they give you a price, try to get more included for that price so that you don't have to pay for the upgrades you want. JMO

I would check swan club...they had reasonable prices for summer and they are known for the gardens so I bet you could get a good deal in the winter.
westbury manor also may have good rates..they include alot in the package that other places do not include.
I think brentwood has an all inclusive package but I have never been there so I dont know how nice it is.
