We are planning a December 2009 honeymoon (leaving mid December). Want something beachy, relaxing. Don't want to go broke, but don't want to go to a dive either. Any recommendations as to what would be nice in December?

You could do Carribbean - try Dominican Republic or Aruba for a little further south (always good weather that time of year I believe)...Australia is in middle of summer then so if you want to go further abroad.

I second the Carribean. There are some nice places there that aren't that bad. We went to Antigua in January and it was really great.
I suggest going to a Travel Agent, they should be able to help you find a place in your budget. And there's no cost for using one, so it can't hurt.

Anywhere in the Caribbean or Florida will have great weather. Def check with a travel agent to get some ideas. Another option would be some kind of Caribbean cruise----then u could check out a bunch of different islands-----without spending a ton of $.
