Re: Bridal Party Woes

i havn't picked my bridal party yet, but i have an idea who will be asked and yes i feel like i'm only asking certain people because i don' want to hurt their feelings. So i'm gonna end up having like 20 ppl in my bridal party

I also have the whole 'I was in their b.p. so I guess they have to be in mine' AHHHH

2 obligations for one BP member: family and being in that person's BP. Not a fan of the person though. Very jealous and doesn't seem happy for me because of it.

That is one thing I didn't have to want to worry about. FH and I sat down and went over the bridal party choices with a fine tooth comb. I didn't want anyone on my side who was not in my best interest; because to me that kinda of ruin the fun in planning. Since it is your wedding you should have complete control over everything. From your dress choices down to your guest list. Don't let anyone have you make decisions that works for them. Because it's about you.

I was in my fh's cousins bridal party and i'm still not asking her to be in mine, but thn again we weren't close nor are we now, so maybe it's a lil different. It's so funny because when ure picking ure party u dont want to hurt anyones feelings, but when its time to get the bm dresses everyone will probably give you a hard time.

I am not going to mention names, feelings, what side of teh bridal party the people are on(because of possible lurkers).. but did any of you feel 'OBLIGATED' to ask certain people.... and it's not like you REALLY REALLY WANT THEM.. but you would rather just ask them to avoid conflict or hurt feelings? it's like you are friendly enough with them and close enough with them.... but you wouldn't necessarily PICK THEM if there was no worry about hurt feelings

i have the opposite prob....i have NO ONE to put in my party

Re: Bridal Party Woes

I'm going back and forth about asking my fsil (FH's sister). She has never been even remotely friendly to me and she's not close with FH, but I still feel bad excluding her, especially b/c FH is having my brother.

my FH is also having my brother...but that's b/c my brother and SIL never had a wedding and i wanted them to get to walk down the aisle together at least. so there's a reason behind it. FSIL is on a rampage right now and i don't know what to do about it...if she thinks for a minute that i would make her a BM now..she is *ucking out of her mind.

I'll be a BM, i love weddings! yipeee!!!

As for me tho, i have 4 sisters, which really is enough, but i had to add some special friends. I pick the woman, FH picks the men. We ended up even, too! Only problem i have is, i have a male best friend, who i would love to be in my BP, but i dont think its right of me to ask him to have someone he isnt close to...what do you think??

Once you pick them you cant go back on it so be absolutely certain that the feeling of awkwardness of not choosing them overcomes the feeling of anger and frustration of having people you dont really care too much about in your bp.

this is why i decided to go with 1 moh, 1 bm, 1 bm and 1 gm....i dont wanna deal with the 'u chose her and not me' drama...

Re: Bridal Party Woes

I've had the same three best friends since i was in forth grade and my sis, my god daughter and my cousin really no girls my my family bunch of boys!
My problem was more of a financial burden on one of my family members as a BM....but my aunt and I will pay for everything for her so it worked out!

i was happy with my choices for BP, but i did include FH's sisters and i think i did that out of respect...i love them to death and they are terrific girls, but i dunno, i would have rather had my girlfriends....i just replied to eckymecky (?) who is having a FSIL issue
