EWWW. i can't believe how much crap they had. those poor kids.

i am glad that you were able to look past the condition and see the UNBELIEVABLE potential. not a lot of people can do that.

although there is a lot to do, it will be so rewarding in the end.

That house has great potential and I am sure it is already halfway there with all their stuff out. I can't believe they lived like that and they had kids.

Carpetting - ahh!! Panelling - Ahhh!!! Wallpaper - Ahhh!!!!!

Ok - i'm over my freak out - once you and your DH clean it up and put in your personal touches it is going to look absolutely fab! I just went through taking all that out of our coop - it is so tiring - but little by little the place looks so much better. It looks like you have great space and the home has so much potential - good luck!! Cant wait to see what it all looks like at the end when it truly becomes your 'home.'
