When you say the bar will stop serving after dinner do you mean no more alcohol served at all? Or if you want a drink it will be a cash bar?
Only wine on the tables/ This saves us 500.00- This isn't what anyone has a problem with though, She flipped that I said she shouldn't get trashed...

Well, I dont want my sister to be completely trashed at my wedding, but I do want her to have a good time. I dont think you are being a bridezilla, b/c if she normally cant control herself when drunk... then it does become an issue.
As for the stopping the drinks after dinner... is there something else you can cut a corner on? Im sorry- just being honest here... but if I went to a wedding and they cut off drinks after dinner, I would be VERY annoyed. Please dont take this the wrong way, but I don't think people will like that very much.... sorry- but Id rather be honest and let you know now, before people start talking about how you cut drinks off the next day.

I think if she legitimately will take her clothes off or do something disrespectful like that, regardless if the bar is closed after a certain point, someone should be put in charge of her to make sure that she doesn't drink. It's really sad that someone would have to be put in charge of babysitting on your night, but judging from the way it sounds that's the way it has to be.
I'm very sorry you have to worry about that. I'm worried myself about certain friends getting out of hand at the bar.
And don't get me wrong, I'm the first one to say I have a stick up my coolie myself...but that's just not cool.

I have to agree I dont think it is a good idea to stop the bar after dinner I would cut back somewhere else.
as far as your sister goes she is wrong and you are not being a bridezilla

I edited the post. The bar will end after dinner... There will be wine on tables and liquor for dessert. This is how the last three family weddings were and no one minded. It is only immediate family/friends at the wedding.

Re: Am I being a bridezilla? Freaking out please tell me the truth...
Coming from a very irish family, the idea of my relatives getting trashed at my wedding scares the C RAP out of me!!! I don't think you are wrong at all for being concerned... I've had a few close relatives who are drinkers tell me they were going to avoid getting too tipsy for the sake of pictures, in laws, etc.... Your sister should understand that with all you will have going on that day, the last thing you want to worry about is her potentially having too much to drink!

Thank you. I would say out of our 100 guests, 80 of them do not drink at all. Maybe a glass of wine. At my bils wedding they paid for the 'By the bottle' bar, and the bar tender said 'Wow, no one drinks' lol
THis is what I'm worrie about. Espesially since she basically made it sound like this is what she was planning on :(

Oh okay, well if no one minds and the wine is still going to be getting pumped out onto those tables then you should be fine lol Maybe just talk to your sister without making her feel like shes a sloppy drunk. Just let her know that you want her to have fun, but also be able to remember your day and if something comes up... she can help you

I absolutely think you are NOT being a bridezilla . . . if your sister wants to get that drunk than tell her she has to drink fast before the bar stops serving :-P
