Re: Am I being a bridezilla? Freaking out please tell me the truth...

im not a big drinker so i would not mind..i dont think u r being a bridezilla..i mean 500 bucks is alot..i just want to warn u some guests may have a problem with that..some not all and i say as long as they know(like bartender telling them) i think its fine..i mean bottom line its ur wedding and people should come to celebrate not to get hammered, just sometimes people dont thinklike that

as for ur sister..im sorry she said those things to u..i would def keep an eye on her and make sure ur video is not her falling over something..hth feel better and remember its ur day..so what u and fh want not what is supposed to be 'right'

The liquor is not ending, just the open bar(Meaning the actual bar area closing) The guests will still have unlimited wine and liquor for dessert. I am also putting it on the menu's..

The problem is, I din't want to have to baby sit her. EVery party we've ever gone to is me trying to stop her from acting like a fool. The worst, one year, she tried to jump through a television while the boys were playing madden....

How old is she? Is there someone who can keep her occupied and tame on the big day?

I just wrote you this whole big thing and the site said I was not logged in . . . grr!!!

Anyway . . . basically I said. . . I would ask someone like my mom to talk to her.

I also said that you should not feel like a bridezilla because this is a perfectly reasonable request and your sister should be able to respect your wishes on YOUR day.

No no, I wrote it wrong I was in the process of crying

My mom was on her side. She said I can't 'Control' people coming to my wedding and if someone throws up on the dancefloor it would berude to ask them to leave'

I mean, I don't seehow that's normal? When I go to people I care about's weddings, I make sure I don't make a fool of myself... because its the right thing to do... not because their 'controling' me...

I don't know. I've so 'drama free' for so long that i think this really just hit me... And itsjust really upsetting me ebcause I am trying to see if maybe I am wrong for asking my own sister not to get beyond traashed....

Oh wow, that's too old to be acting like that. I'm young myself, but I know when enough is enough.

I agree with Gina, are you close with her bf? Could you possibly talk to him? Maybe he's just afraid to say something about it if she were to get mad?

Wow, that's just horrible, I'm so sorry.

He may be in Iraq... so we havn't brought the wedding up to him much (He's a marine) He may deploy the week of or before, or after... he finds out in May...

But even so, he really just lets her be...

wow. you are totally not being a bridezilla... she HAS to understand that this is your day- not hers- and it's not about her drinking herself silly. at this point she can't take back the things she said, but she should at least attempt to make an effort to be an adult to respect your wishes rather than complain that she's not allowed to get trashed on the biggest day of her sister's life. maybe someone can pay the bartender to water down her drinks ;) as for the wine at the table maybe make sure the other people at the table are drinking it so it's always almost empty. there's nothing wrong with making her think she's drunk or faking her out ;) if she wants to be stupid it's her fault- but it shouldn't ruin your wedding day!!!

i dont know how close u r with ur sis but if this was me i would say in my most biiotchy tone(which i doubt u have because u r as sweet as sugar, but u can do it)..ive asked mom for help,i got none.so im not asking u im telling u..i love u and i want u to be there on my wedding..u r my sister but if u pull any crap i will ask u to leave..i would even go as far as telling bm to watch out for her...i know this seems super harsh but if she is a bad as it seems its worth it...i mean drinking and having fun is one thing but a drunken fool is quite another..dont be afraid to be stern but at the same time remind her that u do love her and u do want her to have fun..but this is ur wedding and it would mean alot of she could just respect what u want...any wedding guest should respect ur choice esp u sister

ps..i would also try to talk 2 moom again and let he see how hurt u r...

I fear she might attack me physically if i did because that would be 'Talking down' to her. SHe has this huge ego issue where if you talk in a monotone adult tone (Instead of sounding like a truck driver) you are acting 'better' than her, therefor have a stick in your coolie... which boils her blood.

I did try to explain to her that if she meant tipsy it was one thing b ut trashed is another for about ten minutes (I was actually crying) but then she continued with the 'bridezilla' comments along with the 'But you wouldn't knw what fun is because you're a hermit who stays in the house and has no life' which then lead to an even bigger cry fest (On my half) and me telling her that at 22 years old 'partying' shouldn't be her only concern whenshe's never had a job.... And ofcourse, I was then wrong, and she freaked even more. I don't know. Just... really didn't expect drama when there has been none....

Aww... Try not to be too upset.. Those remarks are mean and not true! People say a lot of awful thinkgs when they are mad and I would just brush it off as her lashing out... I have a pretty bad temper myself and I can say from experience that she was just trying to hurt you by saying those things.. Try not to let her succeed!!

then u know what..u have to stop talking bout it with her..u told her how u felt..if she chooses to disrespect uon ur day u n fh should talk bout how u will handle it...have a plan..DO NOT DO NOT let her upset u on ur day...im so sorry u r going through this..a sister should never make u feel this way..i hope im not stepping out of line but ur sis sounds verrry immature and maybe she is just pushing ur buttons because she is jealous, maybe she is not..but either way..if she is not going to listen, and ur moom is not giving u much help..then u n fh decide what to do..know b4 hand so if this does happen u go right ot the plan..please only shed tears of joy on ur day..i hope with all my heart she does the right thing in ur big day..and that maybe in time she can come around and see wha she is doing to u..

I m not going to let her ruin my day. Although I am sure something will hapen, like her hair wont be right or, her shoes will hurt....
