You can go over the guarantee...you will give the RH the final count about a week before your wedding when you have your final meeting and pay the last bill.
So for example, if you guaranteed 150, and you end up with 170 guests saying YES, you will pay for 170 guests at your final meeting.

No what happens is you tell the hall a the week beofore the wedding your finale number and then they give you a bill with the amount of people you have coming not the amount you guaranteed.

Well when my sister was over her count 2 weeks before the wedding .. The RH demanded the money before or no wedding...
so she came up with the $3000, but it was sooooo stressful for her!
Well she has to pay for the guests that come and eat...I don't see how the RH was wrong for wanting this money??

i meant the day of.. .like im guaranteeing 100 but 125 show up...
Then 25 people have nowhere to sit and no meals to eat!!!! I wouldn't put myself in that situation.

Yeah, typically that does not happen. You would have a drop dead deadline a week or two before - and if someone decides they want to come after that - too bad for them.

your guarantee is different than your headcount. your guarantee is what you tell them you are PROBABLY going to have so they can give you a contract. your headcount is the final number of people you're going to have at the wedding and you give it to them the week of the wedding so there really shouldn't be any surprises with this. if you go over your guarantee then you pay the difference when you give them your final headcount.

right and chances are you wont have more people show up... youre more likely to have no-shows
