Personally I probably would not go to every function not just because of money..what about time off from work..for people that do not have much vacation this would be a problem

she seems like a girl that gets everything that she wants. i think that was really rude of her to say that she wouldn't come to your wedding if you didn't move the date and expect you to come to all three of her functions. if i were you, i'd just skip out on some of the functions - you have your own wedding to pay for! i think just to show up to her wedding is more than enough. sorry to hear all of this

thanks girls. Felt better to just get it off my chest. I definitely don't think i will make it to all three, I mean who can afford to fly somewhere three times and brings gifts?! i guess unfortunately being a bride sometimes brings out the worst in a person. thanks again for listening to my rant!

i think you're being really sweet and understanding... and it was very mature and respectful to ask her when she was having her wedding before booking yours... Just let her be, it sounds like she's insanely jealous and doesn't know how to be happy for others.

I would be annoyed. Regardless if you can afford it or not...its a lot to ask of someone to have 3 destination events.

ITA!!! In the end you have to do what is right for you and your FH. Taking all this time off for her stuff will it still leave you with the time you need for your HM? If not you have to think about you close friend or not and to be honest with you real friends don't throw hissy fitsexpecting you to change your date for them. IMO.
