Eeewww is she a close friend? That is just so wrong the way she did it. I mean I don't talk to my girls everyday but they have been in my life forever and know when I need them they will be there for me. Well it seems like to me you lost a friend as well. Guess the saying holds true you find out who your true friends are during happy and sad times! How many girls do you have now?

I will come clean. I was once a bad BM!
They didn't send out proper Shower invites (her mom wanted to plan it since all 3 BMs were out of town- one in Richmond, VA, one in DC, and one in Philly), and I just got an email from her MOH months before the date.
I put it on my calendar and wrote it for the wrong Sunday! I wrote it for a week after the actual date. I got a message from her MOH the night before the event, asking me if I could pick a few things up...and I was like, what are you talking about? I am moving apartments tomorrow? That is next weekend. NOPE.
I obvi couldn't not move the next day and I felt awful, I thought the bride was going to KILL ME. I felt awful...and gave her an extra expensive shower gift!

i know how you feel hunnie!!!
I'm going through the same thing with one of my BMs. Its a sucky feeling at first, but at least you know who really cares about you in the end. I'vec ut off alot of friends within the past few months, but at least now I'm happy, and don't have to deal with drama anymore. Nobody needs anymore added stress when planning their wedding.

I know it sucks... but at least she was honest with you with a good amount of time to go. Rather that than have drama and have her drop out months or weeks or days before the day. We've all seen that happen to other brides. IT could have been done differently or worded more eloquently, but she could be giving you a legit reason and not an excuse. Sorry though ![]()
