I would go Bridezilla on her butt. I am a huge bridezilla when it comes to this. Especially because she is part of the family. Is it really that hard to wait a few months to get pregnant? I mean really. I would tell FH he has to deal with this. He needs to tell her that its his wedding and it is not going to be all about how shes pregnant. She has to wait.

ummm... I am sorry to say I really disagree with you here. Having a baby is HUGE... I do not think anyone needs to 'plan' it around your wedding. People should not have to double check to make sure having a baby fits with someone else's event. You should really just let it go and be happy for her. Everything will workout... I don't see how this would 'ruin' your day. Worst case scenario she might not be a bridesmaid if she is to far along. There are soooooo many worse things out in this world. This is not something that would upset me.
Also I don't think I would care at all about wether she stayed at the same place I booked for a honeymoon

I would just let it go. She is obv. trying to piss yoou off! My FSIL wants to get major surgery 5 weeks before our wedding because she doesnt want to be stuck inside all summer and wants to look good for her friends Wedding? Don't let her bother you until she says she is pregnant. She wants te attention and don't give it to her until she says she is. But for now she needs to order that dress! My sister ordered hers and became pregnnt, unfortunatly we found out last night she lost the baby But she can always order a bigger size if need be

I really wouldn't get mad at her for getting pregnant. It's actually more self-centered on your part for getting mad. It's not always easy for people to get pregnant, I've watched friends and family agonize over this, so when someone wants to have a baby, later is not soon enough. She's being smart. She's putting off the dress thing because she doesn't know how far along she will be, or if she will be so pregnant she can't do it. FH's SIL was trying to get pregnant while we were planning. And they have been trying for over a year, and she's still not pregnant. Another BM went through rounds of treatments and finally got pregnant, and she will be due 2 months after the wedding. We just got her the maternity version of the dress (which I was happy to see existed!).

I agree babies are a huge thing and if she gets pregnant it will be a blessing. Let her put off getting the dress. worst case scenario she isn't a bridesmaid... which I don't think you'll mind too much.
Your wedding day will still be about you and FH

I totally agree with AugustFeather. This is a happy occasion...you're going to have a nephew/niece! Of course, your wedding is top priority to you and FH right now but it doesn't mean that it is to everyone else around you. Sorry, but I think you should really let it go...if it comes out that you are that pissed about this it's going to reflect poorly on you.

ITA: Its okay to be slightly annoyed but you shouldn't say anything. This is a child she is trying for... Sorry but this trumps being a bridesmaid. JMHO

i wouldn't worry about it. her being pregnant, even if it's 9 months is not going to take the attention away from you. you're the bride and all focus is on you and your FH. she can hold off on getting the dress and they can just get an extra big one when it gets closer. that's what they did for my friend. as far as the resort, don't worry - at least you can get a review of the good and bad of the place.

I would def not be ok w/ someone purposely getting pregnant when they know they will be almost full term. That's so ridiculous, 3 months pregnant is one thing but to maliciously get pregnant and know your gonna be 9 months on your wedding day is crazy! She should of just been honest and told you she couldn't make the commitment to be in it. I told all my married bridesmaids from the start when I asked them that they have to wear the same dress as the other girls. Its your wedding so you make the rules. Sorry your going through this :( she seems extremely selfish!

Totally agreed. You can't expect people to put off trying for a CHILD. I think that's selfish.

Re: OMG fsil
If it were me, I'd make it very clear that she's not in the bridal party if she's pregnant. End of story.
I don't really care if she wants to have a baby or when she wants to have a baby. Me personally, I wouldn't want anyone pregnant in my bridal party. That just looks so wrong and she's gonna stick out like a sore thumb in photos...ugh, no. Just no.
Sorry to be blunt, but that's JMO.

JMO, but this is not something that concerns other people... if she wants to start trying now then she should... i dont expect people to put thier lives on hold for me... my sister was 7 months pregnant at my wedding...

Re: OMG fsil
The only thing I'd be worried/upset about is them missing the wedding, If she would be 9 months around the time of the wedding, I'd worry she'd be in labor and they would miss the wedding or not be able to make it if they had a newborn
thats the only thing I'd be upset about...The whole prego girl in a BM dress would be the last of my worries and I actually think its kinda cute
You can't tell people how to live their lives and especially not when or how to have a baby, it sucks yes, but it is what it is...and shes not even prego yet so don't stress yourself out
I just dont understand why she would want to put herself in that position to possibly not be able to attend your wedding?
let it go...move on..it may not even happen

Re: OMG fsil
someone posted something similar a while back and i wrote the same thing then that i will write now. we think, we brides-to-be, that the wedding planning process revolves around us and t hat everyone should stop what they are doing and that our wedding is the most important thing to come around in a long time. However, its not. even though we may want it to be. Its obvious that maybe your FSIL envys you a little bit and copies some of the things you are doing. Nevertheless, having a baby is a huge thing. Many women experience problems trying to get pregnant and conveiving is not always easy. It would be completely selfish of you to say to not try to get pregnant because your wedding is 9 months away. First of all, she may not conceive right away and even if she does, and she does happen to have the baby right before your wedding, she will be the one missing out on the event because logically, you know that everyone else in his family will be with you on your big day.
Let this go, and if she does get pregnant, consider choosing a maternity dress she can pick from that will go well with the dresses you have already chosen for your other BM's.

My MOH will be 7 months pregnant at my wedding. I couldn't be happier. And yes, she will have a form fitting dress.
I agree with the other girls, the world does not have to stop because we are getting married. jmo

I agree. One of my bm's is trying to conceive and quite frankly I would be THRILLED if they told me tomorrow that she was pregnant - and my wedding is 6 1/2 months away. Having a baby is a HUGE deal and would being a bm any day of the week.

I wouldn't say if she were pregnant she can't be in the Wedding Party! Being Pregnant is a beautiful thing! It's the fact that she'd be due around your Wedding! She knows it's 9 months away and she should wait at least a month so it doesn't conflict with your Wedding. I just feel like it's a little rude to plan something that big when there is something big already going on. Your In Laws would want to be there when their Grandchild is born and it would just be very hectic for everyone!
* However just because they are going to start trying doesn't mean they will get pregnant right away either!
