Denise and livininsin

Original post by mv1003

I wanted to start a new post, as the other one has nothing to do with me. I'm sorry to see what was going on, but didn't feel the need to jump in on something that had nothing to do with me.

Just as anyone else, I was checking in and thought I'd read it to see if it was a topic I knew anything about or could learn from.

I thought this NWR board was a good thing. I mean, a common thing in our lives brought us all here to this site. It's a good thing and you can learn a lot here, as well as make some good friends along the way. There is a lot of support here, not just for anyone's upcoming wedding. I've found that NYPD fiancee's and wives can support one another, which I think is awesome! I've seen that if someone has a serious topic in life, there are a lot of unbiased opinions that you can receive for advise. Life throws us all a curve ball once and again, it's nice to have a community to ask for advise.

However, I think this high school non-sense has really just got out of hand. If anyone wants to post how they chipped a nail today, or they won't be on b/c they got a flat tire on the way to work- write your personal friends. I'm not trying to make rules, I'm just asking for everyone to use some F*cking common sense! Oh, I was cleaning a garage and I missed this. If someone starts trouble and there's a little controversary, let them work it out!!!! If we're suppose to be grown women here- start acting like it. Don't waste my time, if I'm trying to look and see what wedding things are going on, or what else we can learn from eachother about how your dog at the cat food today.

You can all reply to this and curse me out if you like. I too- just wrote my opinion. No need to suggest the wedding 'police' are on the way, no need to say 'oh, I got your back' Just start a new post that actually makes sense. Something that either everyone might be interested in..... or write your friends and FM, isn't that what it's there for?

For all the other girls who read this and I wasted your time, I'm sorry, I'm just sick of the non-sense.

Re: Denise and livininsin

all this drama....and its only Tuesday!!

The problem is that no one lately can seem to post how they feel about a subject (wedding or non-wedding related) without feeling that they will be put down or abused by a select few.

When I joined this board (yes about 3 years ago-I guess I am one of the no life losers also), there were a handful of us and we shared our experiences and planning with each other. We never criticized each other...and if we did not agree with what the person had to say, there was a way to disagree without insulting anyone.

I read these boards and others and I honestly have to say that some of the posts here do not need to be posted on the open forum. The reason we have FM or email is so that we can post 'HI' to our friends without 100 people having to read the thread. Im not telling anyone what to post, but it just seems like the 'HI' posts get mingeled with the information posts and an outsider wouldn't think they would get any good tips or information from here.

Unfortuatly for future brides, this place has definatly grown to a place that is no longer fun anymore. Ive heard comments about The Knot and other wedding board places how cut throat the women are...well...people in glass houses should not throw stones.

I hope that in the future that if someone has a comment that is directed at someone, and they do not think the person would like it, that they will use some judgement and send an FM instead of subjecting the rest of us to the BS.

Thanks
Lisa
