Hi everyone! Quick question. What kind of deposits should I be prepared to leave for vendors like the photographer and florist? I know what I have to leave for limos, DJ, and dress but I'm clueless regarding the other stuff. And what about invitations? Deposit or paid in full when ordered?

when we booked, we gave the photographer 10% of our total cost and we gave the florist $100. we havent given any $ for our invitations yet. i think we'll pay in full when we get them in 2-3 weeks.

Depends. In my experience: Band: $500 Florist: 10 % Photographers: Anywhere from $100-$1000

I WAS TOLD BY MY PLANNER THAT I SHOULD ALWAYS LEAVE THE SMALLEST DEPOSIT AND TO PUT IT ON A CREDIT CARD. SO IF WE CHANGE OUR MINDS WITHIN 1 MONTH I CAN GET IT BACK FROM THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND IF IT'S AFTER THAT TIME I FIND A BETTER PRICE ELSEWHERE I HAV'NT LOST VERY MUCH MONEY.

It all depends on the price/package you get. All of my vendors had a set deposit fee, but we gave more than that. If you want to tell me who you are going to look at, I might be able to give you an idea.

we had to give photo 1/3. 1/3 one month before. and 1/3 at pick up of proofs.

DJ we left 1/3 Photo and Video same flowers small deposit to hold the date and we pay 2 weeks before

my photographer wanted 1/3 as a deposit, my florist wanted 1/2, the limo co wanted 15% and our DJ wanted $100.
ETA: my flowers are under $1000 total.
