depressed about registry

my shower is next weekend and there is hardly anything bought off my registry...im soooo sad. we need so much stuff. Did this happen to anyone else?

I see. Mine isn't a surprise either since it's out of state.

The only thing I can think of is that your guests are waiting until the last minute to shop - I hope!

are you registered in a convenient store for folks to get to?

You still have a week to go -- some people really do wait until the last minute when they know that have a registry to choose from. Don't worry!

I can't tell you how many of my friends bought my shower present the morning of my shower. You might be pleasantly surprised!! Or, you might get a bunch of GCs and you can go buy what you want after your shower!

I am a little depressed also because I feel like the moment i get the invite I go out and get the gift to make sure that I get something good and I just feel let down.......I hope they dont just grab something on the way.

I do too! I don't think you should stress about this - stop looking at your registry and you never know, you'll get everything plus some really nice other things you would have never thought you'd get. Let us know how it goes!!!

i'm guilty of doing things last minute! i always wait till maybe a day or 2 before the event to get a gift! so don't worry!!

I have been there. I got a lot of nice things, but DH and I had to buy tons of things after our wedding. We used coupons and waited for sales etc. We were on our own for a good bulk of things. I know it sounds selfish, but we paid for our wedding, e-party, etc...Hang in there. Maybe you will be pleasantly surprised.

this totally happen to me. My shower was a suprise, but i was a registry peeker. and the fact that EVERYTHING was still on my registry certainly helped keep it a secret.
I didnt get many gifts and a lot of people didnt show (it was on 4/30 there were really bad rains that day) but what it came down to is the people that wanted to be there were, and we are just goign to have to buy our own stuff.

I wouldnt worry so much if we both didnt live at home and are moving into an apt and have NOTHING!!! I mean we really need everything! We have no pots, pans, silverware etc.
