I have not posted much on here the last few months but i have been so busy.
Yesterday was my wedding and it was amazing!!
Sandcastle girls you have nothing to worry about,
I will give a few review upon my return from 2 weeks in aruba, but just wanted to let you girls know about the disaster i had!!
I was booked with Designs by Gina for my wedding and i had called her a billion times this week as we neevre finalized things, BUT I DID PAY MY FULL CONTRACT AMOUNT the begining of August.
SHe never once resonded to any of my emails texts messages not once.
I know someone said she was on a car accident but still you never return a call
So fast forward to yesterday the morning of wmy wedding still nervous for days of wondering if i will have flowers.
Its 10:30 no flowers 11:00 no flowers 11:30 no flowers ( flowers were to be delivered by 10:00)
SHE NEVER SHOWED UP WITH MY FLOWERS NEVER CALLED NOTHING SHE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND I HAD NO FLOWERS AT MY WEDDING THANKS TO HER!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAD TO GET FLOWERS AFTER MY CEREMONY THANKS TO MY BRIDAL PARTY MAKING SOME LAST MINUTE BEGGING PHONE CALLS.
I PAID DOUBLE FOR CRAPPY FLOWERS AND THEY WEREN'T EVEN WHAT I WANTED
I HOPE NO ONE ELSE BOOKS WITH HER
I AM FURIOUS
OK WELL IM OFF TO MY HONEYMOON JUST GIVING YOU GIRLS THE HEADS UP

I would be furious as well!
But keep in mind that she was in an accident. Clearly, she will give you a refund. There is no way any sane person would keep the money after not delivering the job.
If it were me, I would be very mad, but would take a step back and realize that life and crap happens. It's not like she could help recovering from an accident. Not having flowers at the wedding didn't hurt anyone, it just didn't help create the decor that you were looking for and paid her to create. If she didn't have a designee to take care of her business at the time that she was in an accident, I hope that it was not deliberate unprofessionalism. I am really sorry about what happened to you.

You have a good point but as a business person she was obligated to contact someone else to handle the job. Its completely horrifying to me

well it sounds like she hadn't responded the weeks prior to the wedding and before the accident, and then not showing up/ providing flowers ONTOP of that........plus it really is nothing besides unprofessionalism when there is no one else around to make sure things go smoothly when your running a business you need to account for certain mishaps. And when you go through the time and effort to book someone and plan out the flowers you want for your wedding, it can hurt you emotionally, not physically but emotionally.

Yeah...you're right. It definitely wasn't handled appropriately. At the end of the day, what you paid for wasn't deliver and that is very disappointing. But, I guess I am a bit more laid back. Good luck with the honeymoon!

wow.. i feel for you.
i actually called her a few times and left her a few messages last week. i never heard back from her, so i ended up booking someone else. now i'm kind of happy i did.
i understand that she was in a car accident, but this is totally unacceptable. she is running a business here. if she was unable to do the job, she should have made the arrangements to get it done by someone else. she breached the contract and she should refund you the amount you paid for her services plus the amount you paid for the replacement flowers. i really hope you get in touch with her and she cooperates. if not, i would def take legal action.
either way, just try to put this behind you for now and enjoy your honeymoon.

I agree...a good businessman always has a back-up because you never know what life throws at you. I cant even imagine how furious I would be if that was my wedding.

ITA. I just responded to the update on BHB but will say again that as a one woman Business, you HAVE to have a plan B...I just can't believe nobody could call/contact this poor bride for her? As long as I was concious, I would've had a family member drive to the wedding if I couldn't find her number. The just not knowing part if the most stressful!
