we have been looking for over a month now and are completely frustrated. we are looking for a reception hall for both the ceremony and reception. we would like an outside ceremony and cocktail hour, but if it rains i would love a buetiful ceremony area inside. the only place i fell in love with is carlyle on the green. Future inlaws cant afford it, so now we are back to square one. we have looked at lands end, larkfield manor, sail harbor, watermill, north ritz, woodbury country club, millridge, swam club ... you girls get the idea. we are going to look at the lawrence country club and villa lambardi this weekend. does anyone know of any places that meet the above requirements between the prices of $80-125?? i need all the help i can get. im getting very frustrated. Please help with locations on nassau county or not too far out east. thanks girls!
That's odd; I never heard one bad thing about the Carlyle; contrarily, I've heard that the food is always awesome.

Re: desperate to find a reception hall!!!
Have you visited the westbury manor- I noticed some brides suggested it but I didn't see that you actually checked it out. I wanted them originally but they didn't hae my date- but if you want grounds, you've gotta give them a try-they have like an acre or something of grounds with flowers, and trees and a fountain and bridges- it's so beautiful and I think they offered a ceremony. .

Re: desperate to find a reception hall!!!
If you live on the south shore you might want to look at Lands End in Sayville. The food is very good and the view is lovely.

Was the Carlyle really that bad? Can you describe the cocktail hour, etc. Were you attending a wedding? thanx
